-Beautiful artwork and
presentation to go with it, Jan.
-I am deeply saddened by this news.
-I didn't have any idea.
-I will be adding to the book
when I get a chance. Thank you
for doing it.
-You wrote a heartfelt poem for her,
and I know it means a lot, as well.
-I can't imagine what she is going through.
-The conclusion expresses thoughts
of comfort for Yvonne, and others in
a similar situation.

This poem, My Precious Son, may very well be for Yvonne as I heard she has lost her son. This verse would, of course find a target for anyone's loss of a child. It is well done.

Exceptionally beautiful and heartfelt. Our faith in Christ makes our losses bearable in the truth of life eternal. I will be joining this book as soon as possible, dear Jan. May God give you comfort and peace today and always,

I understand this write. It is not easy losing a son. I know this by experience as well. Though we draw strength from our Lord and knowing we all will meet again, the memories are still there. Christ is so gracious to fill the gap.
Blessing coming your way.
Stay strong for the sake of you and the others.

A very well constructed spiritual poem with perfect rhyme, flow, meter and cadence. I wasn't sure who you described as "son" in the first verse, but if this indeed a child you talked about, please accept my condolences. However, if I misunderstood, I apologize most profusely.
Maybe it's just me, but I am not in favor of apostrophizing a word unless there is no other solution can be found.
I am referring to these two lines:
In rev'rent silence, Angels came,
my life will never be the same.
Perhaps, "rev'rent" can be substituted with "sacred"? Just a thought.
A beautiful poem with a gorgeous artistic presentation and artwork.
Thank you for sharing this.

This is such a beautiful post. It is so difficult to lose a child no matter the age. We are supposed to go before them and the hole in our lives can not be filled. For some reason losing a child is more difficult than losing any other member of the family, You have penned a beautiful tribute. Very well done.

What a terribly sad poem, if this is true it must be a terrible thing to go through. It's very evocative and touching. Thanks for sharing this and have yourself a really great day

I've just read Helen's post, I didn't know. Your poem is so heart wrenching, Jan, I cannot bear to think of how Yvonne is feeling at the moment, and in the future. The best are always taken from us, while the evil are left to continue to destroy. It's not fair. This is a lovely poem, so sincere, and so comforting. Sandra xx
