Angel of Ireland ~ The Twins

I'm so glad Caleb was ok. Your description of your setting is vivid. You have used strong metaphors. There are several uses of foreshadowing. The opening quote, the fact they are twins and the father's cautions. This line unbeknownst to Tomas is very understated, almost tongue-in-cheek: "It's like a miracle." This makes the whole message even stronger: ". The parson couldn't see the angel" This is a lovely story.

What a nice story. Twins are fun and it is wonderful whtn they love each other so much that they never won't to be separated. I have my own set of twins but might only tolerate each other.

Thank you for sharing this story with us. As a mother of boys I completely understand.
A troubled boy would test Cal and his brother, trying to server their bond. (sever???)

What a wonderful story. You managed to tell create something magical out of a childhood accident. My sons aren't twins (three years apart) and they are middle-aged now, but they were always that way with each other. I was hooked form the first word of this story. You have a way of pulling the reader right into the story.

This is a great story that kept my attention from beginning to end. Wonderful title too!
Noticed an extra word: our
Oh, all right," said Tomas. "Try not to kill yourself. I rather not tell our our father of your premature death."

Thank you for the lovely review and generous stars, dear Rebecca. Thanks for catching my spags, as I use voice over text along with a blind assist keyboard to write. It's a miracle not to have something. LOL!! I appreciate your compliments and encouragement.

What an amazing story! What happened to the bully? I hope he learned a lesson, too. Your grandson was a lucky lad, God must really be looking down on them. I'm so pleased everything ended happily for the twins. A lovely story, Sally. :)) Sandra

Thank you for the excellent review and kind compliments, dear Sandra. I appreciate it so much. It's always so good to see you.
In the story, the bully walks away, refusing Tomas' cries for help. I didn't want to give his bad actions any more attention.

I like and have enjoyed the story spiritually expressed, all about your twin grandsons, the free flow of thoughts, realistic and contributory dialogues; catchy beginning and a resolved and happy ending. ALCREATOR

Hi, Sally!
I had a friend who was of Irish heritage with coal black hair and deep blue eyes (I erroneously thought Irish people all had red hair and freckles. He told me many stories of Ireland and I became enthralled with a country that still believes in banshees, fairies and the like.
Your work kept me reading; I liked the suspense of the boy climbing the tree; there is always something bad that comes of a boy climbing a tree. What a wonderful concept writing about a boy who can see an angel, when no one else can.
I wonderful folklore story, Sally. I really enjoyed it.
Blessings for a wonderful week.

Very nice story about the angel of Ireland and the twins. It sounded almost like a fabel, until I read that the story is based on the twin grandsons' life-adventures and the unseparately bond between them. Yes, I have heard also stories of how twins can be miles apart, but are able to know what the other one is doing or thinking. Miraculous!

Sally.
Rarely do I ever review a Fan's (or other FanStorians' posts) longer verses or stories, but your title piqued my interest. So I started to read, and then read some more. I then read your notes and so I know a bit about the real story.
Great presentation for my read today.
Mark
P.S. you might want to add a space before your squiggle in your title; it appears to me to be missing. I am not sure if there is actually one after it either.

Thank you so much for the lovely review and generous stars, dear Mark. I am honored. I'm glad you enjoyed this. I took your advice about the title, but barely made it. Whew! Edit only allows so many characters. It does look good. :)
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo
