An interesting sentiment - who knows how many of these there may very well be hidden in attics somewhere? such great ones and their unheard of works celebrated by Thomas Gray in his wonderful Elegy written in a country churchyard and remembered as 'Mute inglorious Milton'

You are absolutely right that many art works and writings "would touch others deeply on emotional or intellectual levels...or both."
Do sit down and try to re-write the play piece that was lost. I once lost one on a computer crash, finally re-wrote it, and it turned out better the second time around.

What a bummer that your written one-act play was lost. Had you moved or did they lose it? I can imagine that it was recommended because your work is greatly received.

It was when it was mistakenly put into a wrong pile and discarded. It was the only copy. I've learned my lesson and have duplicates of all my current projects. (I consider that play the 'one that got away'.) Sad but that's what happened. Thank you so much for this much appreciated review and comments, Rosy. xo

"Great works never seen" is a fine place to start. Love the sense of loss in the "withered vine". "Dead masterpieces"? Not so much. I would have preferred "lost masterpieces;" to leave a glimmer of hope.

I truly appreciate your comment and have given it a lot of thought. I then went back and changed the word to drooped and redid the artwork. Thank you greatly for this very helpful review.
