Aha! Your alphabet comment makes sense now. I get here so infrequently that I miss a lot of wonderful work. I enjoyed the poem. My grandson, now 9 is similarly graced, so we spent a lot of time with repetition of words for him. I don't know how old your grandson is, but the old Dick and Jane books with words that move from page to page as the story is added to led to success after success in word recognition and lessened his frustration significantly. I love that you have added all the information. He has a wonderful Grandma.

Eric is 12, but his dyslexia is really holding him back. He goes to a special needs school now, and that has helped him enormously. Having other children with the same learning disability has taken the frustration away a little. It was awful when he went to the normal school, the children made fun of him. We didn't know that until he started his new school. Children can be very cruel. In every other way he is very intelligent. I'm glad your grandson is doing well with those books, I think Eric has had similar books at his new school. It's keeping the words from moving around he has problems with. He'll get there, I'm sure of it. Thank you for reading this one, Wendy. I'll be giving the book to the school, and I'll be reading it to all the children. Make it fun. You're a great grandmother, my friend. Your grandson will remember all this as he grows up. Take care, and stay safe! Big hugs. :)) Sandra xx

Hooray for frogs and all their weird and fun facts! ;) I gotta tell you, Sandra, I had no idea about the eyeball thing - that's toadally amazing (amphibian humor there - lol!)... it's also really cool on an evolutionary scale! ;) Thanx so much for the froggy smile! ;) Yvette :)

Loved the rhyme and painting. Just wondering about punctuation. Does it read better if you put a period after "come". And a comma after "spring" and a period after "fast". Those are my natural pauses when I read this. Either way, splendid.

I hope you had a nice sleep? Thank you for reading my latest letter, Margaret, and for the nice, helpful review. I'm going to sort that out in a moment. It's that sort of thing I have to get right, so thanks for the input. Have a lovely all nighter! I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight. :)) Sandra xxx

I wondered what animal you would use for the letter F. Now, I know. LOL In first grade we have tadpoles to show the metamorphosis. The kids love it, especially the boys. (Go Figure!) I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing.

Aw. Sandra, you never cease to amaze me. What a wonderful write on the frog that I think a lot of us just take for granted. I've learned something about the frog - (apart from what I've always known, that if you kiss one he turns into a prince. Not that I've ever succeeded. Sigh!!!) - that I never knew. How interesting. I never knew about the tongue less variety either. And you start with a delightful poem. Kudos to you and to Graham for his lovely drawing. Eric will be over the moon, I'm sure. A big hug. Ulla xxx

This is another very interesting, very detailed chapter in your book. You taught me a lot. They lift with their tongue how fascinating. I use to love watching tadpoles turn into frogs as a child all the different stages. I didn't realize there was a tongueless frog. How interesting. Nicely done as always.

Thank you, Chuck, for your kind comments. I will be giving copies of this book to my grandsons school. They appear to have bought all of the books I wrote about him, so for that, I'm giving them a few of copies of this one. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this letter, E. Sending you a hug, my friend. :)) Sandy. xxx

That is brilliant, Barb, that he could memorise each piece goes to show how clever he is. I find that with Eric, he is such a clever boy, but his dyslexia and autism holds him back. Thank you so much for your lovely review, my friend. I'm delighted you enjoyed reading it. :) Sandra xxx

Another clever little piece on an animal beloved of many children, the frog. I felt sorry for the tongueless one though, but I suppose if you have never tasted the delights of 'bluebottle salad', or 'mosquito en croute' you don't know what you are missing.
You have left out the most important feature of the frog however, as far as the little girls are concerned. Kiss one and there is always the outside chance of a handsome prince appearing. Should he turn out to be Prince Andrew though, you would be well-advised to chuck him back where he came from.

LOL!! I loved that about Prince Andrew! OMG I most definitely would chuck him back. Bluebottle salad??? Mosquito en croute?? You are so funny, Jim. I love your reviews. Thank you so very much for the six, and this really funny review. I'll be expecting yours later in the day. :)) Sandra xxx

I think mine might be late as I have failed to amass sufficient box tops or funny money to be able to post just yet. I refuse to inflict 1,700 words on reviewers for less tha a whole funny dollar's reward.

Oh good, I'm in for a nice long read. I hate it when you get tiny chapters. Well, I'll watch out for it whenever it comes. Unless it's late tonight. I was up at 4:30. I just couldn't sleep, so I'm not banking on a late night tonight. (Hopefully)
