You have really made excellent use of all of your syllables in this descriptive piece. Your personification of "innocence" in line 3 is very moving. Of course, the horribly abused and improperly treated in our society do sometimes turn to crime . . . . It's still crime.

MariVal,
Oh, my. I already liked your poem -- a LOT. But I really had no desire to see The Joker. I'm already like - over it. All the superhero stuff, you know? Everywhere??
And then you introduced that clip. (Which I almost never watch.) But I clicked.
And now, I'm hooked. Thanks so much. I've gotta buy that movie so my hubby and I can watch it - IF we ever get some time alone, 'cause that sure ain't a grandkid movie. haha Thanks a lot, sister! ha
This was super duper!

Yes! Not a kid movie but you and your husband will love it. It's not about superheroes. You don't really see the joker until the end. The movie is about the person, Arthur fleck... Okay.... I have to stop... LoL thank you for reading it and reviewing it. Hugs

Poem- As it relates to those brilliant words that was put together, and what you wrote about the author's notes... Hell of a job with it and I believe Phoenix deserve that awards. I would personally like to make a version like that for Harley Quinn...I love her a lot...Note the name

I saw the movie and your 5-7-5 poem describes the feeling of the movie throughout quite well. I think this is a good entry and will do well. The image you chose just punctuates the point.

Hello unknown author of the 5/7/5 movie contest.
I like how you describe one that are disturbed in their thoughts. I counted the syllables in you poem and of course they are right on count.
Best to you with in this contest.

I saw Joker at the movie theater. It is an excellent movie. But, it was quite disturbing. I like your poem of the Joker. Excellent work! Good luck in the contest!

An excellent 5/7/5 poem.
I did not see the film but did read what a great performance that Joaquin Phoenix gave to the movie.
While I am familiar with the role of the Joker, your notes made sense of the story.
well done.
Blessings

Where ever the part of your mind speaks to you, there is always a place where the innocent parr of you hides the innocence that shirks away from the dark side of horrors that dwells somewhere in the folds of your brain.
You got this!

I wonder if that's not the bottom line for many comics and many who display bad traits - down deep, they're afraid, alone, not able to get beyond that. Good review on that movie - funny, those actors are so good on stage, then in the Oscars for example, they spout nonsense. thye need to stick to acting. (my opinion)
Good poem - the "innocence whimpering' is a good line.
