So true. What the mind knows and what the heart feels can be worlds apart. That's when we decide whether we're inspired to write prose or poetry. Neither is right or wrong- just different perspectives.

Yes, they do indeed and this photograph coupled with these beautiful words took my breath away. That is an amazing photo. So precious and such a perfect background setting to your simple, yet profound poem.
Lovely. No errors noted. No edits needed.

I love the picture that goes along with this piece. It just speaks so much more with the words. Words are tools of a poet and with those words they can speak the truth.

I think this is a good entry for the 2-3-2 Poetry writing prompt.
I like that you state that Poets listen with their hearts.
Well done and good luck with the contest.

Your poem makes a profound statement. Poetry takes writing to another level, and engages both writer and reader more deeply, as a general rule, than prose. The poet generally says more with fewer words, and this is one of the shortest poems I've ever read. The image is perfect, as the child, like the poet, reaches out with one hand, and has his hand to his own heart, with the other.
