I am pretty sure poets share who they are through poem much more that prose writers. I think the reader can see and feel the poets thoughts. Good luck with the contest.

Hi
I quite liked your little quinzaine poem. The reason i have given you 4 stars is because this poem is suposed to compose of 1 statement and 2 questions
You have 1 statement and 1 question.which needs to be fixed. Syllable count is spot on.
Good luck
Regards
Tia

thank you tia, i have just rechecked the rules from the announcement....
A quinzaine is a poem with three lines that has fifteen syllables. No rhymes. There should be seven syllables in the first line, five in the second line and three in the third line (7/5/3). The first line makes a statement. The next two lines ask a question relating to that statement.
Line 1: 7 syllables - make a statement
Line 2: 5 syllables - start a question about the subject
Line 3: 3 syllables - finish the question

more of your poems and you can stop by my site. Congrats on awards.

Loud and clear. Great illustration of what we all want. To be listened to and be understood. It is such a difficult format and you handled to immensely well. Thank you for the poem.

Sometimes it's easier to communicate by the written word, Shelley, but in the end, if we wish to move onto a 'real' relationship, I think we have to take the plunge and actually meet someone, though I know it can be scary.
In the meantime, 'ink' is better than nothing.
My carrier pigeon and smoke signal are on the way. ;-)
Nicely put.
Cheers, Ray xx

I like this quinzaine where you say a lot in so few words. Do we read between the lines to find out who this person is? The answer? Yes, I think sometimes we do. All the best. Ulla:))

What a top piece with a picture that complements the meaning perfectly. You may appear as one thing to the outside world, a given personality. However, one must delve deeper, beyond the limited expression that you expose, to find who you really are. Your true, wholesome person, the underwater aspect of the iceberg emerges through your written pieces. An introvert? Comfort in the deep realms of your mind.
Awesome piece

Yes. Odd, but when I read, I hear your words in my ears and not in my brains. I imagine that you are speaking your words to me. I found this Quinzaine deep and philosophical. Thank you for sharing. I wish you success in the contest.

To be honest, not really, but I like the idea of the iceberg metaphor. I think most people are like that. You just can't let it all hang out. I found this quizno simple yet profound. To really get to know you however...I'm gonna need a LOT more info.
