Absolutely wonderful descriptive words to take the reader each step you are taking.
Put together to flow as you are walking along and enjoying the area around you as you take us along.
Excellent piece

What a beautiful poem! I am always intrigued by your work. It flows beautifully and is so unique in its style. I love how you described the "toes grip leather thongs
and feet" . Amazing job on this! xoLeslie

Thank you, I do love to wear flip flops. I've gone on long hikes in them - not that great for my arches though, lol.
hugs,

Thank you, Douglas, these free-style poems take much more effort than rhyming poems - it's so much harder to tell when it's finally "right". I appreciate the review and rating, my friend!

Hi, Carol
= Such a wonderful thing ... dreams.
= I believe dreaming about what we'd like to do when we grow up is what feeds our soul.
= This is a great look into what makes Miss Carol who she is.
= That is a special joy, my friend.

when I grow up - lol, I've given up on that. Actually this is going to be my retirement "job" - wandering through coastal shrubbery to the beach :)

The imagery and the love of all things nature
sing upon your words
My, but you do like alliteration
and you are a natural rhymer, either way you spell it,
But you have the soul of a poet
An enchanting, encircling poem
that transcends time and space
Your palette is beautiful
and word strokes, those of a lover
of the wind, the sea and the land
Beautifully done
I'm happy to call you friend

Thank you Robert :)
I'm glad that we are friends too. As such, tell me if it's TOO MUCH alliteration. I do love it, but one can have too much of a good thing, I know.
I do love nature, it is a real passion of mine. Probably my strongest passion, honestly.
I really appreciate this wonderful review. Wishing you a sweet Sunday!!

I gave this a "sixth" star because, simply, it's beautiful, lyrical, passionate...your love for the ocean is felt in each word's stroke on the page. "You're the sweep of the tide and I'm the one that must abide"..I would buy a book of poems with this one in it!

Wow! I love that you would buy the book (if there was one) that's amazing! Actually, Pantygynt and I are writing a book of poetry, the theme is the Roman conquest of England, around AD 70. I'll be posting one of the series later today if you care to take a look.
Thank you for this brilliant review!

Yes, I'd be honored to look. So much going on at the moment I will just be a "fan" so I can look anytime before I will have to PAY to look, eh? Hope you understand what a talented poet you really are....

-Very nice image.
-Well written poem with very good imagery and alliteration.
-You make your way down this special path.
-There are many things to see and "earthen scents" fill the air.
-The fog rolls in, the path descends.
-All of these things make
"this well-known path
my true love."
-Thanks for sharing the poem and author notes.

Thank you so much for reading, it's about my special place on Earth. My dream is to live there, or at least spend a whole lot more time there, some day!
