Wow, all 26 letters, amazing. I wrote for this contest but couldn't do that! Its amazing that after 40 years you have all these wonderful things to say. I think that's the way it should be, grow more in love the better we know someone. I guess not everyone is capable of that. Thanks for writing this loving, hopeful sweet poem for your husband!

I admired your choice of the Alphabet form for the Love Poem Contest--quite a challenge, which you managed so well. Your "X, Y, Z" choices are appealing, along with your selection of the "calm," "hero" and "king" describers, plus your rhymes. Speaking in the first person adds to the immediacy of your verse--I hope it is autobiographical. Best wishes in the competition- Joan

Hi there,

What a fantastically well worked poem. Very clever and quite an achievement to do it with the entire alphabet. My only little nit is that x-ray is spelt with a hyphen, otherwise it is x ray or X ray!

Hi Chrissy - this is amazing. Every letter of the alphabet and rhyming couplets all the way through. What's more your words are good.
