Here, you've pared down the message for great impact, I think. The voice of your poem wants to tell a certain someone that love, passion, lust comes in just a word. It's not a reasoned thing which can be explained, but something chemical that happens on hearing a word. I remember my youth when the sound of a particular girl's voice was enough to set me a'trembling. I really like your use of the couplets followed by the cascading ending. Works well, great effort.

lovely poem. Worth the read and love the picture coming with it. I still remember our early days when it was more like that. Not that it has gone forever even as we approach 29 years of married bliss together.

It might be a single word but the meaning is: "they thought of me - no ocean and continents can separate us!" Great emotional writing, Missy!

So very true, Missy. A simple word, a gentle touch, a loving caress...each or any one of these simplest of things can make life well worth living. The warmth of a warm hand in yours on a cold, frigid morning walk. Laughter at the silly things each other might do...
When we are about to breathe our final breath, it's not the big things we're going to take with us to the threshold of death and beyond, but those little things we will most cherish.
And sometimes, it takes but a word...
Wonderfully done, my friend.
With admiration

I am just an old softie, Dean. I believe in every fiber of my being that romance, the idea of being in love, is what keeps us here.
I want...no I need it. It's a driving force inside me. I prolly should keep my big mouth shut now...lol
Thanks, hon, for the heartfelt review. I loved it!
Always,
Missy

Justafan,
Oh yes, I feel it and lived it...my man is from the Netherlands and love knows no boundaries. I really like your vibrant poem with lots of hope and a great presentation as well.

Oh yes, the silent flutters of the heart, the thumps of emotions and the giddy feelings of love. These are all that lovers think are familiar terrain. I enjoyed reading your poem. An excellent write. God bless.

Hey there sweet baby
I am feeling pretty poorly tonight & needed a lift. I am having my prostate removed on the 1st and it is getting bad. I am vain enough to believe this is me. It really lifted my spirits

This is so true sometime it just takes a word to cheer the heart, sometimes it takes a hug, and sometimes it takes a smile. None of these things are too hard when we love someone Patricia
