I enjoyed your beautiful poem. It is filled with such great imagery of a visit to this magical place. I love all the references to the things in nature and how Brooke loved them and wrote about them, too. I love how you included her love of family. I love how you wrote of the message in the book that the eagle carried. It is great that you even mentioned the that pesky weed, er flower the dandelion.
Good job. I see no changes. Good job and thanks for sharing.

Oh, if only I had a 6 left! This poem is such a perfect tribute to Brooke! I wish I had written it! I love the way you use all of her icons and references throughout the poem, and also have written it in her style. I know this will bring her much comfort and I'm so glad you've written it.

What a delightful poem and a loving tribute to your Brooke. It was so calming to read and I like the eagle also. This flowed well and with just a nice rhyming element through your verses. I enjoyed this good read Cheers Christine

This is a lovely poem for Brooke. The rhyme and meter is smooth and the words comforting. You summarize what we know about her and her love for her family. Prayers are with her.

Hi, Adonna. How are you? I absolutely love this poem. You have made Brooke happy, believe me. Especially this stanza:
"The sweet sounds of tumbling waters --
the joy of a laughing brook,
filled my senses until, at last
compelled to go take a look,
I crept through the dandelions,
taking care with each step I took,
and there, by a stream, was an eagle.
In his beak was a giant book."
You are so gifted. Blessings. Bob

Bob, I see I'm WAY behind again, in responding to my reviewers. This one, I believe, I answered in a PM, but anyway, you deserve more than that. I truly appreciate this thoughtful review and the extra star for Brooke's poem. Thank you for caring and for sharing with me the part that you liked best. I always appreciate that. MM

You state what we are all feeling in such a a beautiful and poetic way. Brooke certainly is missed and loved. I hope her recovery is going well. I love the story of the eagle and the book. I hope you are correct that the eagle takes the book right to her with a all the messages of love and hope within it.

This is a lovely get-well message. The rhyme seems effortlessly done, and the flow is lovely. "Pearls of dew" is excellent reference to Brooke's name. Great rhythmic lines with imaginative and inventive rhyme. I also never knew what Brooke's surname was, but I do now. Baldwin, like the fine piano... beautifully written, Adonna. I'm not sure how many tributes have been written altogether thus far, but this is as good as they come.
Great work!

I just learnt something, Brooke's surname. Beautifully written, Adonna, I don't know how many tributes there have been, but quite a few, they are a coming think and fast. The wording you use is fresh and vital, inspired from the wordsmith's heart, with a slight variation in rhyme, which, gives it an interesting feel to it, creative and languidly gentle, a nice word portraiture, well done, My friend, blessings, Roy.

Thank you for the things you said in this review, Roy. I know I'm slow getting back to you, but I did read it last week and have been waiting for a chance to use the computer. (Too much company these days) You have the kindest way of expressing yourself. You always say the nicest things, and I sincerely appreciate it. MM
