I haven't the slightest idea what commercial that bazooka toting buzzard would be from, Spit. But I completely agree with you about many of the sorry sitcoms the networks have been offering us of late.

In the past there were trailblazers which explored new themes while demonstrating strong morals, family values while still managing to actually be funny. "All in the Family", starring Carrol O'Conner as Archie Bunker and Edith Bunker, played to perfection by actress Jean Stapleton as his dingbat wife, immediately comes to mind. Nothing stands out as uniquely original anymore. With the exception of AMC's The Walking Dead. But that's definitely not everyone's cuppa joe...

LOL Your tastes are different than mine. I hate the lower class characters in All in the Family. Yes, I guess I'm a snob. :-)
For me, the trailblazer was the more recent Glee which brought out the issues of homosexuality for both guys and gals, transgender issues with the female basketball coach who eventually had a sex change. Even grew a beard. Then one of the leads was confined to a wheelchair. The cheerleader' assistant was a teen with Down's Syndrome and that was for real, same with the gay leads with their gorgeous singing voices. Once the original cast graduated and headed for college, the show lost its ratings. I know I stopped watching. Nothing golden stays. Sigh. (Still working on my tiny tale of terror)

This made me laugh. Isn't that the truth! The sitcoms are so boring that the commercials are more entertaining. Good thing I spend more time writing and reviewing and no time viewing TV. Thank you for your humorous haiku.

I see where you rank 23 for reviewing. Wow! That's a hunk of time. Certainly not the waste of hours when watching unfunny sitcoms.
