HA! I got a laugh out of this one, my friend. It is very cute and to the point. Personally, I use about ten. I loved this poem. Best of wishes to you and your family.
Always with respect,

Yikes! Only a four? LOL

I'm so sorry. That should have been a five. I did update it to a five though. Sorry, my friend.
Always with respect.

Thanks. Suspected that was the case. :-)

An absorbing question, indeed. My reply would be three-ply. You play with words in a wonderful way and always seem to find a suitable pun to fit the occasion! Toilet humour at its best. Suggestive but not messy.

I didn't know there was such a thing as three-ply. Must be for high maintenance people. :-)

Humor & creative on such a personal topic. Most writer's would flush this topic down the toilet with dirty lines & maybe a gross picture. I'm glad you deceided to take the high road.

LOL, flush the topic. Good one, Muffins. Yep, I try to keep it clean.

It is a rather deep topic for discussion, Shari. A "tissue issue", if you will. As for me, there is no doubts in my muddled mind which one I'd opt for. The dual-ply, of course. Also, I want one of those little water jet thingys that shoot a stream of water up your butt at the push of a button. I do wonder how accurate they are, however. If they were off by just a few centimeters too high, the results could be excruciatingly painful! At least for most men anyhow. Heh-heh...

I never heard of that gizmo. Are you playin' me? Two-ply for me too.

The only possible response to this is 'a charming poem'. Or actually on word : Charmin'
The computer told me that was too short a review, and not helpful, so disallowed it . . . a bit of a bum rap.
Let me see what more can be said about this profound verse . . . The texture of your work is clearly to be admired.

You are a hoot! I almost bought Charmin' today but went with Angel Soft. TMF, I know. The texture is a design too. LOL

The reviews for this are funnier than the poem. I'm having a good laugh, but I decided to take out bum.

A very clever little write! I appreciate that you write about a topic which finally deserves some recognition! I appreciate your originality, and I actually found myself pondering a bit over the ply issue! An excellent read!

Thanks, Dawny. I always forget to look at the label instead of the price. One-ply is cheaper, but you use twice as much. So I thought it a worthwhile topic too.

Hi Spitfire
Great humour! And I needed some tonight, so thanks!
I like the inner rhyme, "tissue/issue"
And I like the play on words, "absorbing question"
Some poets take a whole page to say what you just did in 17 syllables.
Nicely penned!
Thanks for sharing.
cheers

Thanks ever so much for the exceptional rating. Thanks to you I made the front page! Whoopee. Toilet paper needs no publicity, but the quality does. :-)

Well Spitfire you have finally done it, and it only took 76+ years for someone to do it. Congratulations on having written the first poetic offering about TP that I have ever read. Blessings Patricia ;-)

LOLOLOL. Makes you wonder what they did centuries ago. Tree leaves I'm guessing.

When I was growing up it was the Sears catalog the colored pages were rough so we used the black and white pages first, the when it was jus t the colored pages you would crumple the paper and rub it briskly between the hands to soften the paper.

LOL! Cute. I like tissue and issue, but I never heard of a bum issue, tho this certainly is one. Good use of double meaning of "absorbing" for a great pun at the end.

Thanks, Phyllis. I decided to take out bum for a smoother read. Smooth-- another good reason for two-ply.

Reads great now! Yep, two-ply is softer and smoother. Sure beats Granny's Sears catalog in the outhouse. :)
