The writer does a good job of getting the message across. The structure of this piece is consistent. The writer stays consistent with the rhyme scheme. This piece flows well and the harmony is good. I can't ask for more.

This is a beautifully written and deeply moving kyrielle. I love the repeating line and thank you for your helpful notes. Excellent work with this one. I enjoyed it very much.

excellent kyrielle and interesting turn on Dylan Thomas' " Rage Against the dying of the light" as here, the frail speaker is raging to die into the light. also timely due to current comet awareness ( couldn't see it as it was cloudy)

What a lovely written kyrielle poem. very sad acceptence of the after life, but love the creative write.

favourite stanza...

So iron-willed, my whole life force
So sparkling, brilliant, ever strong
But now it's time to find the Source -
To seek the light, and sing stars' song

great job

Such a moving poem. It flows so beautifully, expressing, I think, the sentiments of many.

If I had to choose just one line that stood out. Although it would be difficult, I think the one that stands out most for me is:

To seek the light, and sing stars' song

Thank you for sharing.

Good morning sharyn,

This is magical
Your well-chosen words are gems in the treasure box of this truly beautiful poem
These lines settle like a warm blanket, one that has been washed 1000 times, over your narrator making the start of this journey comfortable and effortless.
This feels like a gift to your readers. everyone is going to make this journey, some sooner than later...

I can't say it enough, you spin stories of magic and inspiration
Thank you for this wonderful lyrical poem

Jill, I thank you so much for your lovely six on this one. My husband's mother is 95 and now starting to fade - I want it to be easy for her. My mother is 82 and I can hear her having difficulty finding the words she needs. I want it to be easy for her too. And, of course ... we're the next ones in the cycle, aren't we?
    Blessings, as always

Great abab rhyme scheme, I really liked the repeating line and the desire to seek the truth. Well presented Sharyn in syllable perfect quatrains. I enjoyed the read and the education, thank you. WriteOn, Garth

No but I'll definitely keep it in mind. I just reviewed another one also from kiwisteveh and do enjoy that refrain at the end of each quatrain. Well done!!!

And that's how we'll go! Blazing across the sky on a blue streak! I have no desire to go endless days on life support or be placed in a home when I don't even know my own name. Leave me to my pets, my nature, and let me just drop dead on my porch watching them, left alone by all man's science and interference. Fantastic poem!

yep - Thelma & Louise - let's go for it!

I love that movie with a passion! I've felt like that a million times. If there was no God, which there is, I probably would have driven off a cliff the day I got my driver's license. Go Thelma and Louise!! MN :)

A beautiful serenade to a life that will end soon. Like the hues of blue and golden red light in the pic, life had been wonderful irrespective of what it had been. There was not a complaint in the story - a life well lived, endured and endeared.
The death will unfold eventually but the end is near. There will be no regrets except to wait for fate to take us to a knowing place where all answers we seek will be answered.
Great write and penned with a message that death can be beautiful and peaceful too.
Cheerio, Ritchie.
