Sharyn, Reading your poem makes me happy. We all need to look at the world around us and SEE the beauty that is there. I really liked the picture and presentation of this one. Very creative with the color blue.
Very nicely done.
Blessings
Janet

Oh, I spoke this aloud. This is beautiful! You have painted the reader a gorgeous picture, of the beauty that you find just waking in the morning and taking your child to school. Beauties that so many would just take for granted.
You are extremely 'gifted', dear Sharyn. Love the unique form you used it as well- creates a very dramatic write! Thank you for sharing this, I love it! Betty

No, Sharyn, I have only changed a star rating twice in my 3 years here- and that was to UP a star rating when edits had been done. Betty

I am new to this and may be doing it wrong. But you rated two of my poems and I saw you were a top rated poet. I see you live in Hawaii and were speaking of your love of a day in May so to speak. Your discussion of the colors of the ocean reminded me of the first time I went to Hawaii over thirty years ago (paid for by my father-in-law) and somewhere I looked out at the ocean and saw at least twenty shades of blues and purples. I tried to capture it with my camera and only caught a couple of shades. I was disappointed. I think sometimes a poem like yours is the only way to capture that. The second time by the way I went to Hawaii was when my grandson was getting his masters degree from Hawaii Pacific two years ago.

Bless you RR - and yes, I AM myself blessed to live here - sometimes, eg when I wrote this - I remember to look at my beautiful surroundings with new eyes of appreciation and gratitude. I've been lucky, always, never to live far from the ocean. Thank you so much for telling me about your visits, and your perception of our multi-jewels of blue (true!), AND, of course, for the lovely six you gave my work. I had fun writing it, and it's special to know that someone else has read it and 'got' what I'm talking about. So much appreciated! :)Sharyn

Your poem makes me happy putting together a rainbow of thoughts about nature and life as you see it. It has a lovely, lively, and bouncy free verse.

Hey girlie, lovely poem reflecting sit back smell the roses and enjoy each day.

Loved the imagery displayed through this poem.
Scents of salt
Cobalt
Blue
Azure, cyan
Cerulean
Blue
Sapphire
Hey you!
How many shades of blue
Can there be in one joyous periwinkle day?
With white
Clouds
White
Birds, in
White flight
Light
Rainbows descending
In prisms
Fizzing
Popping
Falling
Dropping
Through gold light
Against my skin
And glowing spotted cows

Great job

Regards
Tia

HI Sharyn. There truly are so many things that can make us happy. If we would just stop and smell the coffee. That it all in. Enjoy what were doing. This is a great write. Very well said. Linda xxoo

You have written well, and right...it must be read aloud!
Those words elicit emotions, vivid visions of Creation's beauty.

Today I watched the waves roar up the sand wanting to engulf me, but limited by an unseen hand. All that beauty so close!

Stunning beyond description!

Poem seem very familiar. God had giving this world and make us happy. I think in that, spirit and faith are the most important. I don't like much sayings and discrete lines in it.

Hi,
I think I've read some of your work before and needless to say I'm am still impressed by your talent. I would be surprised not to see 'All Time Best' and your other rating on this site. This is beauty at its best. A passion filled poem of love and understanding of what makes you and him happy. Great writing by a great talent.
Robert
