Clever write, enjoyable read. You made it interesting from the very beginning. I enjoyed the way you built it up until the end.
Thank you for sharing. Smiles, Robin :)

aah, coffee, the writer's preferred drug. Odd socks do multiply, don't they? Opposites attract...Nicely done, fun and creative write. I can't find any holes to pick, so no darning required on this piece. Well done, again, for making me smile.

After hubby and son are gone, you fancy a nice cupper. But then it starts going all weird with all these socks staring at you:) And wanting their share of the coffee. A well written free verse. Sounds good and plenty poetic devices.

You are so poetic you find a way to write a poem about mismatched socks. That's how you can tell a person has poetry in her heart. Anything is an excuse for a cute poem.

I had a huge "I can relate" smile on my face the entire time as I was reading this. I personally think scientists need to explore this phenomenon. It is a universal occurrence of great magnitude that has been a hindrance to mankind for hundreds of years. We need answers!! Write your congressman!
Perhaps they exist to show us the chaos of our own lives....

well enough with the chaos already! I'm thinking of melding with another household, just to get them all to meet each other! :)))

LOL! You can start here! I think I have about twenty. Don't have the heart to throw them out. MN :)

haah! we should start a club! see! it's an OCD thing!
-
Oh, I am definitely OCD! The funny part is that, the older I get, the harder it is to keep up my compulsiveness. Therefore, one could say aging improves any problem. ;)

Well I guess that's ONE thing to look forward to, hmm?

got my 2nd cup, no worries - coke? that stuff'll kill ya!! :)S
ps: Beth, did my reply offend you in some way? I was talking only about coca cola dear - joking, because I say that to my husband all the time. But I see you've muted me and I had no wish to offend you. My apologies if I did, ok?
Blessings

Hi Sharyn,
a change of pace, but you still hit your rhythmic flow with a beat that ring a tune and although about the dreaded conspiracy of the sock revolt against wanting to go back onto unappreciative feet that do not recognize there worth. You made me smile lovely lady and that's what counts, wacky, whimsical and wondrous.
Kindest thoughts,
James xx

What a fun read. I see the socks as metaphors for chores that have been neglected and must be done. They do keep piling up all the time!
