A delightful and humerous poem that takes us from the age of a young hippie with beads and weeds to the older generation of a slower pace but still with flower power culture.

I was a child of the sixties (teenager during sixties) who merely smelled the joints (never grew or partook) while wearing clothes--including the hated bra, still hate the things!--but I can relate to this poem because I know all these elements were part of the era. Very good- creative and entertaining

Your poem made me laugh. When we went camping last year there were some hippies there. They had their guitars out and were up til all hours singing their hearts out. Each to their own I guess. Great job

thx rebekka! flower power gone, yes, but it was a brave generation rebelling against a government gone mad. Unfortunately the government won.

'You got the beads, baby!' This was great and I could relate to it easily. Yea, the good old days and the good new ones too. Some things never change though, because 'You got the beads, baby.' Thanks for sharing your 'trip' with me.

Great Poem! Good way to relive the past and then see it in the future. How different it is looking back and comparing how we view the world, through different eyes.
Never trust anyone over 30? But now that we are over 30, how different it looks, even with the sunglasses on.
