The way news travels today, the whole world mourns the death of a great person, all at the same time.
I enjoyed reading your poem for review.

So sad but yet true for many have lost a loved one in a single day without any knowledge that it is to happen. If you wrote this because you lost someone I am sorry for I have yet to experience this pain, but if you have not and are just sharing for others sack you sill did a lovely job of doing so, keep up your writing skills, and thank you for sharing.

There is a lot of feeling in those few words. Well said, I felt that same way a few months ago myself. I hope your words are not from experience. Good writing. -Judy

this is so true of so many it seems. powerfully writ, no strings attached, no punches pulled. indeed greatness is lost when anyone perishes, unless it is displaced only, and lost only to the one who beheld it, but perhaps not to the one or ones who created it etc. there is always hope as far as i can tell. this poem is poignant anywhere anytime, great post.

Sad when a heart stops beating and the soul of that persons leaves us until we're reunited in Heaven. A good write and makes me wonder about how the world will think of me when my life stops--good, I hope. A great, great write my friend.

boomachicka:

Today was a sad day in my area for two women, born about
thrity years apart and from two very different backgrounds, were buried today. They both touched the lives of untold
numbers of children -- one through the public school system; the other through teaching Sunday School for many,
many years. They will both be missed a great deal. This
5-7-5 would have fit both of them well.

good luck in the contest
thank you for sharing
love,
jan
