Interesting poem as an entry in a very difficult contest. The flow of the poem is quite good. The true test of an acrostic is if the vertical word matches the content of the poem and it does so quite well here. To me, the poem describes the creative process of writing. Fascinating juxtaposition of picture and poem--the flower opens as does the mind when in bloom.

Hi Al,
I have to say writing an acrostic with only one word a line is a challenge. I rewrote this poem many times. I wanted to make sure I had the most descriptive words I could for the meaning of "inspirations".
A creative person needs a lot of inspiration, so my interpretation of the word was naturally based on that.Your interpretation was right on target. I didn't know what to use for a picture, then I thought of flowers blooming the same way our ideas do. I thought it was a GREAt idea and I'm so glad you saw it that way too.
