Carol, I give you one of my very rare sixes. This is adorable. That last line is priceless and that's where the six came from.
Very clever. Such a simple solution to an age-old dilemma. Top-notch. pat

A cuddly monster named Fred. lol. I loved this flash fiction. This kid really worships his father - "Any friend of dad's is a friend of mine." This says it all.
Well written. luv jada

I enjoyed this story albeit short. Very good micro-fiction. Unique way to calm a child's fear of the dark. Very good story.

This is sweet. It was thoughtful of Daddy to keep Fred all these years and pass him down just when his son needed him. Very good flash fiction - no errors.

What a cute interpretation of the cuddly monsters theme - I love how much children trust their parents and "fall" for such things. Nice dialogue and a warm, loving, family atmosphere created in such few words, Carol :-) Brooke

Carol, how cute is this one? Any friend of Dad's is a friend of mine. That is so good.
I enjoyed this little FF. It met all the FF criteria, and you told us a wonderful Flash Fiction in 110 words.
And what about that artwork? Works well with this.
Thanks for sharing, Carol, and warmest regards, hugs and smiles, Marijke

Hi Carol,
What a sweet story and what a good idea for comforting a child who is in fear of those nightly monsters. Great story and you did a good job in writing this micro-fiction. I wish I had the 6 stars for this one. Thank you for sharing.

Aahh, this is lovely. So cute and so believable too. It brings back old memories of my youngest daughter's fears of the dark when she was a child. Those cuddly toys work wonders don't they?
