Such delightful comments come from the mouths of ones so tiny... can't beat that for originality and smart thinking , when it comes to kids logic... just love it.. such funny memories are to be cherished, just to pull out for a really good giggle when the time is right. great little story and so cute... hugs from Mexxxx

Hi Carol,
My husband and I laughed so loud while reading your funny story. I love your sense of humor, my dear friend Carol. Can't say anything else. Will print it right away for Reinhard and Lyra to read. Hugs,

Kids are funny and they often come up with unique solutions to problems. This is a story all of us can relate to, the loss of a pet and the need to grieve and bring closure to the loss.

A precious story, about precious children and pets Carol. And all the more so, as it is true. This brings back so many memories of pets lost, and I still cry for them once in a while. Your daughter is a doll. I am so happy to "know" you, and read your many wonderful stories and poems!!!! Susan

Each of my children and I have mourned the loss of our pets over the years. Starting when I was young, we have a pet cemetery in the country where my parent's live...Thanks for the awesome review...You are too good to me...Carol

Hullo Carol ...
This is a really heart-warming story with so many unexpected little bits of wisdom coming forth from the children, including the final summing up that the camper had been a morgue!
There is nothing to suggest changing. I really enjoyed this and thank you for sharing it with us.
With love from ...... Nanette Mary.

This is what moms are for. Tackle everything 'gracefully' even inventing a 'morgue' for a cat. Fulfil a child's pleas without the others knowing (lest they object and put a scene). Good scene in a life with kids.

Good true stroy Carol,
now if it was me I would of told the children just let us take the cat to the Vet and have Precious cremated .
And there won't be any worry about freezing the cat,
then bury it in the spring.

Carol,
The dead cat would have been better in the deep freeze with the meat. Wouldn't the camper stink? It's typical of a little girl losing her cat to want to bury the poor critter. This story is cute and well written. The cats name is great Precious. They could have had the cat stuffed and mounted on the mantle. I have some cat stories that are true. Like the time my brother let my cat play with the fuzzy dice from my car with the string. My cat took them because my brother left them lying around. Three hours later we didn't hear from our cat Fluffy and my dad found her hanging dead with the fuzzy dice she got tangled under the bed by the box spring grabbing hold of the string of the dice. The cat was stiff as a board when my dad carried it out. Or the time my mom started the car one winter shredding a cat in the engine. Talk about yuck. We opened the hood and pieces of cat, blood, and guts all over the inside. I love your realistic story it reminds me off the strange things that happens when you're younger.
I would sell the camper too. I liked what her brother said "Cool! I can tell my friends we slept in a morgue,"
Melissa.

Oh no...It was below zero most of the winter and we buried him as soon as we could. This story is true and I don't want to stuff any of the cats. Thanks...Carol

Very touching and very funny! Amazing how these kids are able to express their feelings in such a way that it can make a lot of sense. You had a lot of courage to take care of the matter in the way you did.

This story is good on a lot of levels. Realism, humor, sadness, originality and the ability to capture and hold the reader's attention all the way through.
