This is a very nice poem. It creates a strong mental image. Of course, we recently had a big, and uncommon snow. It was sorta fun at first, but quickly became annoying. I love the flow, and the rhythm.

Hey kid,

Ahhhh, yes, the winter can be wonderful. Yesterday I went to the beach and tommorrow I'm playing golf. Yep, winter--gotta love it.

I love the poem.

We do have four seasons in san Diego. We have: early summer, summer, late summer and next summer.

Sixteezkid--The Trilonnet is an interesting and
challenging form and scribe's entry is an excel-
lent example of a fortuitous seasonal offering.
All of the rhymes are smoothly integrated into
the structured scheme as well as vivid allitera-
tions. My favorite lines, the couplet, easily
serves as an apt coda for both, the title and the
artwork. Good luck in the contest. teafor2

Wow, this is one of my favorite of yours. I don't know if it's the poetic form, the message or the alliteration that draw me to this poem. I just know I like the tone of the poem.

Great job with a challenging form.

Sue,
This is lovely.
I enjoyed every line.
The rhythm and ryhme flows superbly.

Awaking to a scene, so white
A blanket quilted, flake by flake
And all was hushed ~ a peaceful morn --Mmm Such a tranquil feeling.

Excellent writing. I enjoyed this peaceful winter walk. :)
Blessings,
~Nic

Picturesque, well crafted, Perfect word choices.

You can keep the blizzard, and the snow, I'll take it in poem form any day of the year!

Hope you're keeping warm.

Sincerely,
Womanwriter

I liked the lines 'flake by flake', 'an artist's take
On marble; sanded, smooth and worn', 'All decorated like a cake / With icing swirled and made adorn'.

The poem communicated a strong image, feelings of cold, and even some sound, too.

I gave a 4 and not a 5 b/c I thought some of the lines could have been more specific & unique.

Hey Sixteezkid,

Well, I'm cold! And I think reading your poem did it to me!! lol You seem to have followed all the rules for a Trilonnet. I'd never heard of this kind of poem so I'm also grateful for the education. Good job!

Thanks for sharing it with us!

smiles,

deb

This is a lovely trilonnet. It seemed to flow wonderfully with nothing seemingly forced at all. The picture chosen to go with it is perfect for the imagery your poem displays. Good job. mslyla

Nature's glory in fine form! I love this, and I really loved "a blanket quilted flake by flake",...that is original, giving more depth to the whole blanket of snow concept. Awesome!
