Nice, Jay! I enjoy your humor in the way you tell a story, whether true or fiction. Being totally honest is probably one of the most difficult things to do when reviewing someone, for there are consequences with every action. I tend to side with honesty although stars aren't the mix.
Good stuff!

Thanks, Russell. It is difficult to review. There is never, ever, an excuse for being hurtful. That is my biggest worry when I review extensively and deeply and honestly. Several years ago, one review I gave convinced a young lady that she'd made the wrong choice in being a writer. No convincing I attempted made any difference. I felt badly about it, but perhaps it saved her a lot of grief later.

I missed the launching, so I'll have to go back.
Thanks for sharing.
Good luck with your future writing.

Is Critter short for Critique? Or does it mean about the same thing?

To crit = to review
One who reviews, or crits = critter.
Thanks for reading, Nikki.

Even back in 2006 you were a quality writer. I think I prefer the term crit to reviewer, although given the choice I think rev sounds even better.
So please consider this a rev. And I'm only doing it for the two cents.
One thing I'll say about your 'revs' is they are always honest. Which is what we serious writers seek. Just once though is would have been nice to have my sagging ego elevated. To be absolutely honest, I must confess I valued your reviews above everyone else as they were always constructive.
Great to read some of your early writing, Jay.

Zahir, himself, is very proud to be called a FanStory Critter. He feels it place him a cut above common barn critters.
Once again, I am pleased you have taken this out of mothballs. It is enlightening, the Amazon business, as well as most amewsing, as Zahir would say.
Cheers, Alison

Ok, you went all the way around Robin Hood's barn and I still missed. Not your fault. I just like straight answers. LOL Thanks for posting.

Sorry you missed it, Ama. It's meant to be conversational, and the point if there is one will be attacked from different angles throughout the 11 chapters.

You should expect and get just that. Just because a person is honest, though, doesn't mean his crit will give you the direction you need. Thanks for reading and I hope you return.

Thank you soooooo much, Debbie. Yep, sometimes the humor's there. I really appreciate the 6 stars. And anything to get you smiling again. Hope this chapter coughed up a member pump for you.

I guess maybe the board got a little too incestuous? A little too much inbreeding maybe? Have you left that particular review board or were you too honest for them. I guess no one likes a bad review but they should get a thinker skin if they put their work out there for others to see.

Hi Jay. You are in the process of enlightening me in the true process of 'crittering' and I am beginning to wonder when you ever found time to write once you embarked on this journey. I am slowly developing a level system of my own, I think evolving as I gain more knowledge of what makes a good, interesting, and well formatted offering. Tales I once found wonderful, I now rate as mediocre, surprising for me!! Anyway, I just wanted to say, you are again teaching me and I thank you sincerely, alf

Alf, as always, your crits are welcomed and loved. I'm certainly not saying anyone should incorporate my methods. To an extent they have to be personalized.

True, and I realize that, but this has made me think deeper than perhaps I have previously, alf
