Harrumph! I'm surprised Mrs. Hendricks answered the door...she should have been busy counting the lumps of coal in her stocking or taking a ride around the town square on her broom--the witch!
Okay--so I have no Christmas spirit for her, but Leland and Mary Ann? Now there's a match made in heaven!
I smiled as he broke his cookie in half and shared with his soon to be mom.
Let's all have more of this kind of behavior in 2025!
A warm and cozy story that gave me the "feel goods"

Leland had a heart of gold buried deep inside him and he deserved to find a woman like Mary to love him. Thanks for the review.

This story warmed my heart. I wish there were more Mary Ann's in the world. Wonderful job of writing. Thank you for touching my heart.
"Leland," Mrs. Hendricks said with a sigh, "this is Mrs. Lacey. She's here to see you." (This)
Mary Ann smiled, her voice warm and steady. "That's okay. I don't ne (stready,)

This is a very beautiful and touching story and it brought A smile to my face as I was reading it you see I gave up a son for adoption, and the people who came to see him first decided that they could not take him because he was too large. So the next people that got a chance to take him were the ones who adopted him and gave him a wonderful home. Thank you for sharing. Such a lovely story on this ending of the year. Patricia.
