AMEN!! You're right. They can't the birth of Christ away from us. When I read about the birth of Jesus, the song, "Mary Did you Know" always comes to mind. I know she knew Jesus was a gift from God, but did she really understand the impact He's make on all of us?
That not only shines on Chrietmas night. (Christmas)

Absolutely!! I hate it when people call it the 'holidays'! It's Christmas!!! We should all shout it out, Christmas was when Jesus was born, God gave him to us so he could save us! Why would you want to call it by any other name than what it is really there for. Christ Mas, Christ's mas for the day He was born. I despair sometimes. Well written my friend. And a very happy Christmas to you and your family! :) Sandra xxx

HI Willie, Amen my sweet friend...it's wonderful
the receive all the perks that go with a Blessed
Christmas Day...
but we should all know the reason for the celebration
of Christmas...the gift God gave of His son...Jesus Christ...
who gave His blood for our sins...and loves us like no
other...
I love you poem...and your picture speaks for itself...
very well written...love Linda xxoo

Such a beautiful poem. Christmas has become too commercialized. Your words are so true. Well written. Picture is a good choice for the poem. Great job

A beautiful reminder for those who get sucked up into the shopping frenzy and the hectic hustle and bustle and forget what the true meaning of Christmas is...
The birth of our Lord and the gift of eternity is greater than anything we could ever receive.
Smiles, Carol

It's nice to know there are still people out there who celebrate the reason for the season. I think for most people it has become a celebration of their kids. But I salute your poem for retelling the gospel story of the birth of Our Savior in simple and clearly defined terms. estory

This is a beautifully written poem on the birth or Our Lord and where Christmas actually derived from and what it is really all about!
- One spelling error on line 4 in 'Christmas'
The sketch is excellent and compliments the poem perfectly. Very powerful image.
Well done and good luck with the contest!
Best Wishes

Hi Willie, Great poem about our Lord's birth and how His blood poured out to save us from our sins. He really is a shining light that should shine on us all year round, not just at Christmas. Good rhyme, and good luck in the contest. Dove

It's so good to read a poem, that actually says Christmas - instead of happy holidays; I really enjoyed it. The words flow nicely, good rhyming scheme and I think, it's just an all around fun piece. Thanks! For sharing.. And good luck! With the contest.
