I really like your uplifting story! Bikes were an integral part of my life -- I learned to ride when I was 5. Later, whenever I didn't have the luxury of owning a car, I rode a bike to and fro stores with my faithful toy poodle, Abby, securely strapped in a basket on the front of the bike. (she has since passed -- now I have Ruby who sits on my Walker -- now my wheels of necessity.
Your story is impeccably written, Wendy. It flows nicely.

We should always congratulate ourselves because it is undeniably a difficult world we face out there, particularly when we suffer loss or poor health. So a big hug and congratulations to you!
