Interesting! Thank you for this catalogue of horror movies and the transition to "monsters they want not what they deserve." I liked your observation about the timing of Oppenheimer and the Godzilla Minus One. I wish the monsters would still quote the Bible - today's kids wouldn't even know the reference!

Oh yes, I grew up with, I can remember the rerun of films like the Wolfman, Frankenstein, (of course, Frankenstein was the scientist not the monster) quite different from Mary Shelley's classic. The 1930s reruns were quite tame to what they became, man created more monstrous films, beautifully written, I'm, blessings, Roy
Typo : Imagine, for (a) moment 2: The distant w(a)ilinhg of wolves 3: radiation of the (a)tom bom.

You are the king of nostalgic cinema. And, you are right. Greed seems to have replaced morals. It is well beyond my abilty to understand how anyone anywhere cannot understand that something or someone bigger and smarter than us is out there and made us. I do not get how morals, courtesy, and simple good manners have been kicked to the curb and been replaced with things. Greed and selfishness seems to carry the day. :-(

You did a nice piece on the many horror movie that came out over the years. i've seen a lot of movies over the years but my least favorites were horror movies. I didn't see any of the movies you mentioned except he first Jurassic Park. I did see some of Alfred Hitchcock movie like The Birds. I saw The Fly. I saw Red October which had to do with the bomb. I know I've seen Lon Chaney in some horror movie but I don't remember the name. I saw Arachnophobia and Stetford Wives. I avoid horror if I can.

Very informative and interesting piece about a favorite topic of mine. My all time scariest horror monster is Nosferatu. I miss the old Creature Feature shows they used to have on TV. Today horror has become just about the gore and not about the scare and i don't like that. I prefer psychogical horror. Good job on this. thanks for sharing.
