Jesse, this is a joyous poem that grants you the happiness for your brother's successful surgery. Appreciate your sharing when you were not quite sure of what was happening to your brother being in the ICU. Well done.

Jesse,
I'm so glad your brother's surgery was successful!
Your beautiful rhyming poem appears that your words came naturally, and from your heart.

Have a wonderful week, Jesse.
Prayers that your brother has many happy years ahead of him.
Best wishes, Cindy

Hey Cindy, it is so good to hear from you. Yes, the words flowed from my heart onto the paper. That's right, I wrote this first with pen and paper. My best work comes by way of pen and paper.
Let's hope and pray that my brother has many years ahead of him.
    Take care, my friend.

I could feel the tension in every word as you wrote carrying us down the page one step at a time. I am thrilled your brother is doing well and wish him a speedy recovery.... you too since your nerves must have been on edge as you waited.
Smiles, Carol

I'm glad you could feel the tension in my words. That shows I was effective in my writing. Yes, my nerves were on edge as I waited which is why I wrote this poem.
Thanks for wishing us a speedy recovery.
Thanks as well for the smiles.

Thank you for sharing your poem about your brother. Glad he is ok for now. I lost one of my brothers just last January due to cancer complications. Always important to share the love when you can.

Great advice. Share the love when you can. My brother is not out of the woods yet. Let's hope he recovers soon.

I am happy your brother is okay. My son had a heart attack last year and he is fine now. Great rhyme that doesn't sound forced.

    Hello Marival.
Is it just one rhyme that doesn't sound forced? Or did you mean rhymes don't sound forced?
    Thanks for the Gypsy hugs.

I'm glad you decided to post this, Jesse. It's worth it. The short lines suggest the urgency. It actually reads as though you're pacing: "Minutes crawl." (Turn around.) "Stare at the wall." (Turn around.) The anxiety is palpable, with the reader veritably holding his breath until your notes at the end, which finally let the reader (and you) breathe. Very powerful.

Wow, Michele. I'm at a loss for words. You get the gist of this poem so well that I am happy I posted it after all. Sensing the urgency, turning around pacing, and at last they can breathe a sigh of relief.
The words came from the heart.
    Thanks for the high praise.
Enjoy the rest of the week, my friend.

Thank you, and you do the same. Today is my 29th anniversary, so I'm definitely enjoying the day!

I hope others understood your poem as well. To me, it was very obvious. Those short lines were definitely saying, "Must say something, must do something, can't sit still."

First of all, congratulations on your 29th anniversary!
Secondly, most of my readers have only paid attention to the content.
They didn't get it like you did.
But that's okay. At least, I poetically expressed myself. That, to me, is what matters.
Keep enjoying the day into the evening.

    Thanks so much, Jesse!

Even if your readers only get the content, the content is good enough that it's still worthwhile. And, as you said, the most important thing was what writing it did for you. I've always considered writing one of the greatest forms of therapy.

Another fine write, Jesse----and a scary time, no doubt, but I'm glad everything worked out for him, and you. I wish him continued recovery, and less worry for you.
