I understand that our past bubbles up at times especially during stress. Thank the Lord there is a place we can always go and take those things, a place of refuge and protection. There WILL be a day and I feel it is very soon, when we will have no more troubles, pain or heartache, and all our Wii be tears wiped away! I hear there's dancing there, and possibly the Cha-cha-cha! Yes, I have heard it firsthand from someone who knows. Mostly, the Lord is there and it will be a perfect place beyond our human comprehension at present.

Another outstanding write. Your rhyming is so precise. Loved the last verse. And I too understand the childhood pain that still haunts. Moreover, I also understand the need for a bucket list. I hope we both achieve some of those things still remaining on our personal 'bucket list's.'

Hey Sweetie, it just wasn't quite that simple but I write about feelings and it helps. I always find that it gives someone else courage to do the same.
It was not for attention and truthfully was me being angry about a Dr appointment so it was no biggie. Inspiration, that's what emotional writers
write about.

You wouldn't be human if your past was locked away and never resurfaced. We all drift back over parts of our lives that are painful. We revisit the hurt, then come back to the present. It's like grief. It will come at you on days you don't expect. This was a lovely poem. You wrote from your heart and it shows. Gretchen

Very true that there are times our feelings and emotions crowd out the reality that we have a destination in heaven, and the life journey is not an easy one, plagued as it is by pain, grief and distress. Our focus can change to lift us away from dwelling on such thoughts. Well written!

Listen baby sis. Jehovah God decided that there would be a limited number of people he would allow to live in heaven. So, he devised a plan to make the Earth as pleasant a place to live as heaven. The difference would be that since we are physical beings, existing as spirit creatures only might be a problem for some. Once his son Christ Jesus and his heavenly army cleanse the earth of evil. The earth would be nearly as good a place as heaven. Until then we can visit that place in our expectant minds. Try it, I guarantee you will like it.

I know you are right and I like to think of myself as such a positive person, but there are times that the past comes sneaking back and I have found that writing about it helps. Between the memories of childhood and some other painful things happening just got to be too much. Praying helps and as I wrote in my poem, until that day, evil, stay out of my way.

Debbie, you have no idea how much your caring and compassion means to me. I have been blessed here with a few earth angels and along with my heavenly ones, these hurtful places don't exist as much as they once did.
