I didn't know much about Christian nationalism so thank you for sharing this information. And I can understand your concern at their jumping on the bandwagon of Christianity in an attempt to gain power and cause division through violent means. Your verse is a delight to read. We were told!
"Come our from amongst them"
and yet, what some Christians are doing is the exact opposite of that.
To claim to b a Christian, holding the Bible in one hand, and including in it the
"Constitution of the United States"
is being done by someone, whose lifestyle is indeed opposite of what we are being told to do in scripture.
I am certainly not perfect, but I am a Christian, and it is against the word of God to add anything to His word, the Bible...
We are told not to do that in the last words of the book of Revelations.
Just as eve was fooled into believe what satan was telling her, so some people are believing what one man is telling them, and that man has shown a disbelief in the word of God...by his very actions...
I may be wrong, and may God forgive me for saying that, but one day we shall all find out the truth...
I only pray that the Faith I have lived with for all of my adult life, and part of my childhood, will be strong enough to hold on until God take back His sovereignty...yet I feel assured that it will...
Yet at this very moment, I feel closer to being who God wants me to be, then ever before in my life...May God continue to Bless You.

Victoria, Thank you so much for your words. You've added at lot to what I said in the poem. I think this country is in danger and many people have been lulled into believing they are doing God's will by going along with it. I hope enough of them wake up before it is too late. I really appreciate the six stars.

You are entitled to your opinios and its your story or poem...not theirs. If they don't like it...they don't have to respond. Whatever happened to general kindness and tact on this site? I know several people who have been attacked.

Yes, I guess I just came out a little too strong but I just got through listening at lot of ministers from different denominations who are realizing how dangerous the Christion Nationalism movement is. It actually sounds like a good thing until you find out what is really behind it. I hope people check it out before it is too late.

I assume that you're talking about Trump who definitely wants to be an autocrat and has threatened violence against his perceived enemies Democrats.
The really sad thing is that he may win and that way he'll be shieled from all of his federal charges. He got a Get out of jail free card as soon as he became president. If he ever goes to jail, the Secret Service has to go with him so it's unlikely.
I honestly believe that Trump in his second term was going to make an alliance with Russia and China and Israel and possibly North Korea. That alliance would be stronger than any other country or group of countries can be. Why? Because all those countries have nuclear weapons

Thank you so much for a great review. I think you are exactly right. It scares me when I see people introviewed at his rallies. Many of the equate him to Christ. They be every lie he utters.
I got those interchanged but I have fixed them.

Would direct your attention to Stanza Four and Line Two, specifically "when country takes right that away." Possible that should read when country takes that right away?

Thank you Brett. I do believe in everyone right to believe as they choose. That is my point. I feel God gives everyone the right to believe as they choose and I don't believe anyone has the right to take that away. Certainly not government. I appreciate you catching the error.
