I have edited that sentence so many times, and still haven't gotten it correct. GRRR, I might just delete it. I do need it thought. I do appreciate the help. Thank you.

"We're already secure.....
. "I can stay in the cabin with Jose, in the attic, or in the spare bedroom. It's completely up to you. Just (say where [me] staying will make you the most comfortable.")
great new chapter. Sami is warming up to Noah ... slowly but surely lol he is having a hard time dealing with the situation.. poor guy.
I look forward the next chapter.

I just rewrote that area, again. I can't seem to get it right. GRRRRR I changed it as I posted. I think maybe I have it now. We'll see. Thank you for the help. I appreciate it.

Is it just me, or is Sami overplaying the hostility toward Noah. It looks like we are going to have a confrontation with Noah's group and Che's gang.

We will have a confrontation. Sami feels guilty about Myra being kidnapped and taking her guilt out on Noah. HMMM, I have a feeling she'll get over it. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

I'm sure Sami will get around to trusting Noah. She having trouble dealing with feeling guilty and thinking she has caused problems. All romance stories have their moments of mixed feeling. I'm wondering how the kidnapped girls are doing. As always, I'm enjoying your story.

We won't know about the kidnapped girls until close to the end. Thank you for the kind review.

Your characters are always interesting, with the men, strong, sensitive, and yet protective with the innocent and likewise tough with wrongdoers, I don't know how they spiders it, the women are always, feisty and independent, well done Barbara, blessings Roy

Thank you for the kind review. I appreciate this review of my characters. I've had a reviewer tell me that my women are so weak no man would want them and that they offer nothing for a man to want.

Most welcome

I don't how in the world you kept the two stories separate in your head. And now I want some watermelon. When you are on your own you can't really get watermelon. Good writing. Karen

Thank you for the kind review. At our stores you can purchase small amounts already cut up. A little pricy but they have them.

I have tried that but it all tastes stale and not much flavor. Karen

This novel sure moves at a fast pace, even the calm chapters such as this one. Tension is kept high.
Suggested edits:
only if she wants too > only if she wants to
I still work there summers and holidays > I still work in the restaurant summers and holidays
Agent in the field will remain where they are > All agents in the field will remain where they are
You haven't caused any problems > No you haven't.

Thank you for the catches. I appreciate all the help. I have made the corrections.
Comment from Sandra Stoner-Mitchell
It looks like things are hotting up but not in the way Noah wanted. Although it's not techically Sami's fault, none of this would have happened had she not got involved. Noah let his guard down doing more than saving her life. Not that she seems grateful for it at the moment. Another good chapter, Barbara. Well done. :) Sandra xx

Well, I enjoyed reading the chapter as always, but just the thought of watermelon makes me sick. LOL. Bet you've never heard of that before. Thanks for sharing.

I have not. My oldest son, Greg, doesn't like watermelon but he could always choose the perfect watermelon. Thank you for the kind review.
