What a beautiful exploration of the relationship between a person and their sibling. I thought your structure, with the repetition of the opening lines for each stanza, really helped the reader to comprehend and think about the breadth of experience shared by a lifelong family member and what this means for our own perspective on life. Thanks for sharing this. I'm sure it will mean a lot to Sandra.

This one really got me in all the feels. The message was expressed in such a beautiful, eloquent, and descriptive manner. I have a younger brother who I am very close with, so knowing the backstory of this poem makes it all the more powerful for me. One of my favorite lines was: "our fabric pulled, altered, we begin to unravel". What a unique yet fitting way to describe the effects of such a deep tragedy in ours lives. I don't know Sandra, but I feel her pain through this poem and my heart goes out to her.

This is a powerful piece you have delivered. As we get older we lose more and more it seems. My heart and prayers go out to, Sandra, and I don't know her well myself. I haven't been back on site long but she has made a great impression on me in this short time.
Thank you for sharing.
God bless,
Steve

Beautiful Jessica... heartfelt words from the heart are a balm for the tender soul ravaged within grief, and you have delivered such healing balm for Sandra.
Very respectful, composed, constructed and presented beautifully.
Yes, beautiful indeed!
With our thoughts we create...
an unbreakable bond.
Kind regards,
James.

I am glad to see so many helping out Sandra. I have lost a lot of family but not my sisters. I have three. I think it would be like losing a leg. This was a very well-thought-out piece of poetry. Good Work, Karen

A touching poem with a comforting message. I'm so sorry for Sandra, it's hard to deal with that kind of loss. I know that time heals all, but doesn't remove memories.

This is a beautiful and thoughtful poem showing how friends and loved ones can weave their way through our lives in memorable happenings...and some times just by doing nothing but being there beside us when the need is great. This is a lovely addition to the book for Sandra during this very difficult time.

Beautifully written, Jessica. The refrain at the beginning of each stanza is excellent and ties the whole piece together. A stunning tribute, superbly structured. Well done. x
