I've heard hate described as a disease that eats away at our body and mind; ultimately, it claims our soul, as well.
We should all hit that red "reject" button on the phone, hard as it is to do sometimes.
Although I don't feel qualified to speak to metering in this poetic form, your rhymes were well done, you stayed on topic, and nothing seemed forced.
I agree 100%; we've had enough hate for a lifetime.

Thank you, Pam. When a writer gets a favorable review from a writer who is gifted and respected, it carries greater weight. With that thought in mind, I value your kind and supportive comments.

You paint an accurate portrait of those who hate, and you do well in your warning to avoid their company. Their presence only brings darkness and unrest to our souls. Good poem.

Thank you. The haters in our midst have a day of reckoning coming. Be careful not to stand too close, so as not to be included in their destruction.

Love is the antidote to hate, but I think humor gets forgotten too. When we can laugh with one another, it is much harder to feel animosity. It breaks tension, and it bonds people together to share in something that brings them a moment of joy.
I still joke with my husband that the reason why women have such a hard time apologizing to their husbands is because we are still waiting for Adam to apologize to Eve for throwing all of us under the bus.

That he did. He did not have to take part in the rebellion. Had he refused to eat the fruit, he could have won a pardon for Eve, and his love would have covered her error.

Hey you, I was taking a break and decided to get your way to finally review you. This is a lovely poem and you couldn't be more right. I can't imagine being that person who has to hate in order to feel good inside. You did a great job of getting that point across. Wonderful job my dear BBB.
Would you be offended if I suggest one thing? It is your poem so you maybe meant to do it this way. But in the last stanza, you used the word, "them" as rhyming words twice. What do you think of?
"Haters will hate, they love to condemn"
"satan their father, does not love them"

Thank you for your review comments, all your comments. I will consider your suggestion. I was aiming for a certain feeling, and message when I wrote it that way, but your suggestion has merit. Again, I will consider it.

Oh Nomi, I had a feeling you might be going that way on purpose, so should have kept my advice to myself. I just thought in case it was a slip, I had to ask. I hate when reviewers let things pass and I hate tho if I insulted you in anyway. You are so original at how you do what you do and I should have figured that out. And in that case I love that too.

Please never hesitate to make suggestions. I never take it personally. I attribute my growth as a writer to my willingness to act on useful suggestions from reviewers.

nice commentary about the prevalence of hate in the world. From a Christian perspective, which I do not share. I would have made it much more of a political rant but that is just my opinion. I like it,

I saw an interesting poster the other day: It showed ten different skeletons, and beneath each one read their country of origin or their religious affiliation. This wonderful poem of yours reminded me of that poster. Beneath the "window dressing," we are all exactly the same. Why that's such a difficult concept eludes me...as I see it does you, as well.
Great job, Nomi. xo

Most intelligent people already know this. Some who actually know, continue to live in denial, not willing to accept that we are all the same, especially when viewed by our creator. Thank you for your wise and supportive comments.

I like the way you wrote this. Your words ring true and show that hatred only manifests itself and is totally senseless. Too many people don't understand that one's position does not make them superior to another. The world would be a much better place if people embraced love instead.

This was an excellent. God-honoring poem. I was surprised to see it second on the list instead of "easy everett". The only thing I can say about Adam's original sin is that, were it me, I probably would have failed God, also. Thank God He had a redemption plan in mind!

I fear that most men under the influence of a nude perfect woman would have likewise experienced their own moment of weakness.

An exceptional and powerful poem. It is a good reminder of how hate eats at the soul, mind, and body.
We seem to be as a society, knawing at each other for one reason or another: race, religion, and politics until it turns to hate.
Best wishes,
Mary

Hi Norman,
This is a easily rhymed and smoothly metered poem about how hate is a sin we need to stop if the world is to be a peaceful place to live.
This poem tells us who makes hate and what are its consequences.
Good Job
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a good week.
