Eleanor is so cute! My goodness. I am lucky to live with my grandson, Atticus, but my oldest granddaughter, Bella, lives in Florida, I live in California so I don't get to see her much. My other granddaughter, Mariana, lives close to Disneyland, where she works. I get to see her more than Bella.

You gave her wonderful wishes. I hope you can move closer.

Well done!

Aw, what a little sweetie! And what a nice, heartfelt letter to her. Keep working on your husband. There's nothing like living close to your grandchildren. Ten years ago, we moved down here to North Carolina from Michigan when our first grandchild was born to be near him. We've been a big part of he and his brother's life, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. We live just 10 minutes away.

Thank you for the support. I appreciate it. The problem is our youngest son lives in Texas, and if we move, he'll have nobody. I wish he'd get married or at least have a significant other.

I can understand your hesitation. My daughter, who lived in Ohio when we moved was married and she and her husband never wanted to have kids, so that made our decision to move where the grandkids would be easy. We were lucky that way.

First, Eleanor is absolutely adorable. Second, I loved your letter. It was a part of you and a part of her. Children as they get older love to hear about their younger selves. This letter felt more personal. The others were good, don't get me wrong, but this one had a different feel. Probably because you are drawing on your recent visit. Great enter. Gretchen

This is such a great idea to write letters for your granddaughters to read when they're older. Your four wishes are perfect. Good things to live by. I wonder about all this posting on social media myself. When my niece had her first child, a boy, there was a site she posted numerous pictures and stories of what he'd been doing, and I thought this was leaving the baby ripe for kidnapping. I could see those willing to grab a child following these sites closely. She did not do it with her second child. I'm enjoying those letters very much. judi

There is nothing like the little ones. And there is nothing better than Bible believing grandparents who help to instill the right kinds of beliefs from early on. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Eleanor. Your grandma just introduced us to you. I hope you will meet my cat Charlie some day and read all the stories I wrote about him.

In the meantime, your grandma is writing all the time - really wonderful stories for lots of people to read. She asked what you wanted to be, and you said, 'A big girl.' That's something that will happen, I'm sure - but then your grandma had four wishes for you - do you know what they are? They are very special:confidence, strength, love and prayer - they are exactly what we all need to be the best we can be.

So I have a wish for your grandma: never stop writing to Charlotte and Eleanor; never be afraid of our community loving them and putting them under our wing of love and prayer. Yes, Barbara - and for you too: always be true to yourself.

Paul

Thank you for the wonderful understanding. Eleaner lives with two cats. Max and L.C. short for Little Cat. She followed my son in the house one day and stayed. LOL

She's a cutie!
I'll continue to ask that question as age you get older. - You might want to clarify this sentence.
Again, great project. I'll have to go back and see if I missed any. It seems like it's been a while.

I love that you encourage her "spirit" - when I was little, it was as if our parents tried to beat it out of little girls (not literally, of course). Boys were encouraged. You're right though, it needs to be harnessed to be the most effective. Good grandma advice:-)

It's nice to see these letters again. Your Charlotte is darling.

Thank you for the support. I appreciate it. As a former first grade teacher, I saw many teachers who fought against these spirited children instead of teaching them to use it. It's sad it happens.

She's adorable in spite of the make-up. I know she treasure this letter especially to her as she grows older. I laughed about her wanted to be a big girl when she grew up. That is a realistic wish sure to come true. This is a wonderful I idea to leave these letters for your grandchildren.
