I am so sorry Mary, things seem to have gone up the shoot when it comes to commercial integrity. I won't comment on Harvey, it must be an extraordinary time for you, Elaine, my wife could never mow the lawn, it's too hard to start the mower. I'm older than Harvey, bless you Mary, blessings Roy

My dear friend, I feel for you. My wife, who is ten years my junior, does many things, voluntarily, leaving me with the lawn and grocery shopping. No tools for the guy. Even the Navy knew why. My aptitude scored for mechanical and electrical threatened the fleet thus they had me become a weather-geek.

Thank you for the review. By the way, Harvey is mechanically challenged too. He once ran a floor polisher, and knocked out the hospital's electrical system. They had to run on emergency generators. In wisdom, the Air Force made him a clerk.

He is lucky to have you. Despite the wall that fell on you, you express such empathy in your story and comments. Thanks for a great read. Good luck with the lawn.

Oh dear Mary, you need to be careful don't injure yourself. I have two suggestions to motivate your husband. The first suggestion is to either hire or buy a motor powered lawn mower that he can sit on, men find this a lot of fun to drive. The second is rather more sneaky and subtle. Suggest to your husband that now he has turned 75 it is all downhill until death and without the exercise it will come sooner that he ever imagined! It is a bit naughty but he might respond by jumping from his chair into action. I enjoyed your post, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for your suggestions and kind words. It is appreciated.
One thing the motorized lawn mower is too expensive, and storage would be difficult. I have come up with a solution, I found online a lighter lawn mower actually advertised for seniors. We will have to see how it goes once it is delivered. I
As to getting us out of the house, we found only a mile or so from our house, a place called Powers Farm. It has a walking trail around the pond and a broadwalk through the woods. We were going there every morning, and will go back once the heat and humidity are tolerable.

This is an amazingly relevant and prevalent issue. Often there can be little help and the support is needed. Hope things turn around. Imagery was fitting. The story held the readers attention throughout. Thanks. Theresa H.

I'm shocked that lawnmowing would cost $100!! I have only hired the boy next door to do the mowing for us so I had no idea that it could cost so much.
I'm so sorry that Harvey is so down. I was hoping he'd help you with the vacuuming if you are taking on the lawn.
It's time to find goats!

Thank you for the review and kind words. My neighbor pays $50 every 10 days, but she has a professional landscaper. I hesitate to hire one because they will need to redo the lawn and the initial cost is expensive and they all want a contract. I thought just getting a handyman would be cheaper. I was wrong. I also want to control when they come out and not automatically show up. I was surprised that the handyman was put on an automatic schedule.

I was shocked at the price. Anyway, in our last place we had so much moss it never grew in the summer and stayed green! Lol. Anyway, I am against lawns because these grasses are not part of the original flora of the country. I would not have lawns except that it's required by the HOA. With all the climate issues, we shouldn't be wasting water on lawns. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. Hope you get a good solution soon! Moss or goats! 😊💖💞
