This children's rhyming poem is so delightful and adorable. Your clever choices of words evoke feelings of joy, happiness and child-like excitement. It's easy to envision a picture book with children hopping, skipping and running to the open arms of grandma. Well done. Best wishes in the contest.

Lorraine, how sweet you are and I can't thank you enough for your kind comments for my grandma's poem. I had most of you, my friends here in mind when I wrote it.

Hi,
This fits the contest well. It moves as fast as the grandkids do. The rhymes are simple and unforced. This is the way kids around the world feel about their grandmothers. Thanks for the education of different ways to say grandma.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great week.

Joan, how sweet you are and I can't thank you enough for your kind comments for my grandma's poem. I had most of you, my friends here in mind when I wrote it. But I can't remember if you are one or not. You never have said. And if you are not, you of course are still included in the friend part. Lol

You're welcome, Debi. No I am not a grandmother yet. Maybe soon. My daughter got married 3 1/2 years ago.
Kim and Andy got a dog first.

Your rhyme and rhythm are steady in this children's poem, which is always good for kids. It's a sweet and culturally-inclusive poem about family and love, which are always a plus when picking out things to read to children. I would definitely read this to my kids.

A most excellent poem. Great spin on grandmahood. The underpinning of inclusivity is clear in how interchangeable the descriptions are. A testament to us all being more alike than different

Dear Poet, I think using varieties of grandmother's
names in a few countries was
very clever. The rhyming is
delightful and airy. My very
best wishes for the contest
with this strong contender.
Blessings ~

Oh yes, Nana's are great fun, especially my wife, shes the grandest of them all, the grandchildren, are all special to her, although we are all quirky and different, she s absolutely the best mum, wife and grandmum, and this is a marvellously articulate, smooth style you have, well done, blessings Roy

Oh Roy, I purposely wanted to get the name your wife was called, so I researched both countries of Britain and Australia and I still didn't get it right.
I know she too is a wonderful grandma, but she has to share the title of grandest of them all with this grandma. Lol.. my grands would insist. hehe!
Please tell her I was thinking of her. And thanks for the awesome review and comments dear friend.
-
Of course, that?s natural
-
I know. I was just having fun with you, but I changed it to put her in there. I know she too is a wonderful grand and wanted your wife to be included among some of my other favorite people here.
-
That?s OK
-
Roy I must seem like the biggest idiot. I didn't see the part in your review about you calling her Nana. I thought you said she was called grandmum. So I added that which I didn't mean to make it sound like such a big deal.
I was just trying to say that the reason for this poem was to take my fav grandmas and honor them and their country and since you are my fav man I picked your wife

Well done

I like the picture. Every grandma is laughing, laugh is the sweetest thing in life.
I have never seen my grandma. She was gone when I was born.
I appreciate and understand every family reunion is a joy. Enjoy it when you have a chance.
Thanks For sharing

My friend, how sweet you are and I can't thank you enough for your kind comments for my grandma's poem. I had most of my friends here in mind when I wrote it. But now someone has asked me to do a grandpa one, so I am asking all the guys if they are grandpas and what they love about it the most and for sure want to hear what the kids call you? Thank you for that ahead of time.

Please share with us some of the fun stories. Kids are unpredictable.
Happy writing

Loved this! You know so many of us can relate because we are grandmas who have that special love bonding with our grandchildren. Also, I was raised by my grandma for the first six years so that's extra special for me. Best wishes in the contest!

What a beautiful and heartfelt poem, Mystery Author.
You did an exceptional job with its presentation. Firstly,
the picture was perfect. Then, you included so many
grandmas from around the world--what a great and
unselfish idea. Your words for each grandma were carefully
thought out, the rhymes worked well, and the flow was great.
However, what was most important was the time you spent
describing the love of grandmas for their grans in ways special
to each. Your poem touched everything Grandmas do, say,
and feel.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan
