Hi, Debi. You obviously relish FanStory for sociability reasons! here you celebrate a milestone for Valda/Pearl and the kind thoughts in your piece shine through as coming from a true friend.
You may not know but New Zealand and Australia share a National Public Holiday on April 25th (for ANZAC Day - a commemoration of a military action in WWI which serves as a day to remember our armed forces, especially those who gave their lives.)
I only mention that since it seems Pearl will have enjoyed a holiday on the eve of her birthday for her whole life! That must be nice.
I enjoyed as always your pleasant verse.

Thanks so much for that bit of really interesting info regarding the NZ and Australia. It is such an important time for us, because our fathers fought that war to keep us free and it is nice to see other allies like you guys pull together for a national day. Much like Pearl Harbor. I do enjoy writing poems for people because I love to see people smile, even if it is only in my mind.
I see your birthday has dome and gone on 2-2, so I will get you next year. Thanks for the wonderful reviews and always being so kind, Steve. You are the greatest!

what a wonderful way to touch someone's thoughts, then to send them a birthday greeting. Birthdays and celebrations are more appreciative when you get elderly; especially when it is a surprise.

I knew the instant I realized this was a birthday greeting
who it was written for, Debi. The image was perfect--love
the beautiful pearl. I know this FS member as Pearl. Your
awesome card was a treat to read. I love your merry-go-
round style. It's light-hearted but still filled with great
details about the birthday person. I know Pearl will enjoy
this. Your words gave readers great insight into her life.
I loved the line about diamond in the skies. I remember
the sadness when her hubby died. This will surely cheer her
