Thanks for taking me on that journey. It's validating to know that a bomb idea can lay dormant for quite a while and still pack some punch. I appreciated the Liza vid, too. You're the bomb, alright.

Hahaha! The fuse on my bomb has pretty much fizzled out. That's why I'm relying on my Brothers and Sisters here to carry the load of dissemination. How sweet the buzzzzz will be. But mostly, I want you to read it and let others know about it if you like it.

Congratulations, my friend, for getting this book published. It's such an labor of love for all of us. I sometimes re-read my own book and enjoy it, too. You are a very good writer and I will definitely buy a copy.
Excellent.

First of all, get the freebie, Lisa. I want everyone to read it and to help me create a buzz by recommending it to everyone. Text the link to your son and his fiance. Really, everyone you come into contact with. Let 'em know it's free (I'm working like the devil to get a buzz started about "The Uneven Zen of Time". I should apologize over the sloppiness of the chapter numbering. I'll have that corrected later, but I can't do it while the window is open for the freebie. As far as I can see, the content hasn't been affected. So, can you help me with that, Lisa? Download your freebie now? Thank you, Dear.
-
Yes. I'm currently in Milan, Italy for my son's art show. But I can try to download it.

Done? Meaning?

I downloaded your book and will read it on the plane back from Italy.

Thank you so much, Lisa. Don't let the onboard movie distract you. LOL.

Good advice. But I have time for everything.

I must admit, I had the most fun reading this story. It entertained me, but taught me a great deal, as well. Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you so much, Jessi for your kind words. I'm glad you were entertained and learned something. But you didn't tell me whether you got the freebie! Please do. I think you'll like it. And if you do, I want you to spread the buzzzzzz! I hope you can do that for me.

Lovely presentation and fun backstory to this thoroughly considered title to your short story collection. Lots of good quotes in there and memorable advice. Definitely think you enjoyed being the medium here. Loved your word "braggadocious" too. Good job! Thanks for sharing, Debbie

And thank you for reading, Debbie. Did you get your free book while the window is still open? Please do. I want it to create a buzz. And that happens if you get it yourself, and tell folks about it. Will you help? The link was in my post. I do want to apologize, in advance, over the sloppiness of the chapter numbering. I'll have that corrected later, but I can't do it while the window is open for the freebie. As far as I can see, the content hasn't been affected.

Loved it, Jay. Very amusing. I loved your thought processes in your attempt at trying to be somewhat modest, but in the end deciding the whole thing sounded pretentious to you. So, are you going with it or you going to try take 18?
When will this come out on Amazon? I'll be sure to buy it when it does!

I was probably unnecessarily confusing on that, Jim. I was referring to all the books, including RSVP, the short story book and the freebie: the one I really want people to read, and then tell their family, friends, caddies, fellow sharks and bridge opponents about how it's still free for three more days. LOL. You've already done a lot. I'm just ribbing you. I downloaded my own copy of the Uneven Zen of Time and was dispirited over the botched up title headings. I will correct it, but I have to wait until its no longer under promotion to do that. The other three books I haven't yet tried to publish are my trilogy. Since I want them to be up at the same time, I need to work on the third volume first. I have covers for all of them. Just wrapping up the last few chapters of Volume III.
Anyway, thank you for reading this, and for all your support from the get-go!
Jay

I never really knew the importance of book covers, or indeed the title of anything, opting out for the obvious first line titles, but quickly learnt that finding that particular poem or story was hard to find, but c'est la vie, but I think the sheer effort of finding.something iconic is essential, blessings, Roy

But the real question is ... did you download the freebie? Please do. It's P to PG reading, suitable for your kids and older grandkids. I honestly think you'll enjoy reading it, too. I'm still desperately trying to create a buzz about it.

I saw your 'commercial' on Facebook. And now you're giving it away! I have trouble with copy and paste so I'll try the hard method. Not sure I understand about the time. Should I try to get at three in the morning. I'm usually still trying to go to sleep at that hour.

Download it while you think of it. Once it's on your Kindle or Kindle on PC, you can read it at your leisure. It would be good 3 AM reading. I just read your previous review and commented on getting the freebie because I thought this Title Piece was the one you were reviewing. (I'm tired. You must forgive me.)
Comment from Jannypan (Jan)
I enjoyed reading your journey to selecting a title for your
book, Jay. I liked all of the references to other work and the
movie from which to eventual title was built from. Your words
were fun to read about all of the whys and what ifs. You gave
readers a great story about what most would consider a simple
task. However after reading this work, I realized there's much
more to finding the perfect title than what I once thought. I
liked the final decision for your book. It presents well in words
and colors. The video was a great addition.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes with your publishing
endeavors, Jan.

But Jan. LoL, you forgot to tell me the most important thing: Did you get the Freebie? I need your help spreading the word, keeping the buzz going. But most of all, I want you to read it, Jan. I value your opinion, and I want to know if you enjoyed it. I should apologize in advance over the sloppiness of the chapter numbering. I'll have that corrected later, but I can't do it while the window is open for the freebie. As far as I can see, the content hasn't been affected.

I'm so sorry. I don't own a kindle.
-
Did you know you can download Kindle for PC right onto your computer. I have a kindle myself, but I prefer the Kindle for PC more. And it's free. Here's the link to download it: https://tinyurl.com/ysv8hkws I've had mine for years and could never believe it's for free ... Just like ... heh-heh ... you know.
-
😊I will look into that though I'm not much of a tech person. My computer is kinda old, too.
-
Really, Jan, it's a piece of cake to download onto your computer. No one is less techy than I. I downloaded it about 5 years ago and loved it so much I've published articles on its value and uses. There's nothing better for taking notes and organizing your thoughts. Let me know if you have any problems.

Hi Jay,
Titles are one of those things I used to bang on about at great length. not just book titles but story titles as well. You don't want it so on the nose that the reader knows the story before reading it or too obscure that it grabs a reader but leaves them wondering how it's connected! lol
Anyway ... getting on with the bomb idea I had. (And you kids! Don't you know that bombs do not always serve the purpose for which they were intended? They obliterate everything nearby. The bad--but also the good. - there's no closing bracket here.
I'm going back to editing one of my my books now. Enjoy

But, G, please pick up your freebie. I want the buzz to continue on in Ireland. But more than that, I want you to read it. Your opinion is valuable to me. And it's a short read, a novelette ... not even a novella. But it's danged good! Now I'm going back to close that bracket. (We call them parentheses).

I get it. I was going to call my debut novel, "Granite," (a working title) until a publisher offered a better idea. So far, no publisher so the working title continues to work. :) But, I now know that what I thought was a place and a name for that place that I created in my wild imagination, actually exists and isn't at all like the place I created. Kinda makes the title, no longer working. There's no publisher in sight, however, so I am safe for now with the working title. I love that you love Alice Munro; she's a favorite of mine too. I hate that you changed told to written...because writing is storytelling and although it's a nit-picky little thing, I like the storytelling aspect of it. Your stories are told to me. :) Anyway, relatable and informative essay, thanks for the read.
