Your beautiful poem reminded me of my daughter. She loved climbing trees when she was a child. She was a tomb boy climbing on the roof and driving me crazy. But she turned out to be a beautiful and kind woman.

Congrats on your win that's so awesome. A beautifully written alliteration poem with a nice rhyme. Nice silhouette photo of children playing in the trees. Well done.

Congratulations on your well deserved alliteration contest win. Your poem creatively describes a bold, fun-loving little girl who can climb a tree to rescue a bird. Girls just want to, and know how to have fun.

Your poem fits all the requirements of the writing prompt without being too forced. The alliteration works well. It's a fun and joyful poem about childhood, and I liked how it was light and playful.

Nothing like a tomboy but they seem out of fashion a little at the moment!
Climbing trees is an essential part of childhood and falling off is inescapable too.

I couldn't agree more, Sarah! As a former tomboy, I was constantly climbing trees. Now I have two daughters- my nine year old Tom boy and six year old girly girl... both climbers! lol

This is so true. When I was young I liked nothing better than to climb and jump. My brother and I even used to hop on to slow moving trains....without mom knowing of course! A great contest entry.

This is a great entry in the contest. Looks like you've fulfilled all the requirements beautifully in a delightful little poem. The rhymes were unforced and the meter was perfect. I loved the silhouette picture too. Excellent job.

Yes, life is loved by little girls, and by women who carry their own little girl, inside of them. The moment a person is not in as of nature around them, the moment nothing can impress them, that's the moment they become old. Good writing; :))

HI Mystery Author,, This is delightful and reminds me of my childhood days climbing up trees, Not for birds but to eat the sweet wattle gum,
We never fell out either and always jumped that last bit onto the ground
Good luck in the contest it should win
Cheers Chris

Thank you so much, Chris! I was always in a tree as a kid- or anything I could climb, really! It's so fun to watch my daughters do the same!
