This is a good poem about the role of the lighthouse for sailors.
The text is dwarfed by the visual and needs to be one or two sizes larger. The message is clearly stated and easily understood. The poem box needs to be expanded a bit. Drop the first line down one or two spaces. Go to the last line and hit enter once or twice. Now your poem box presents better. Thank you for sharing.

I loved your description of a lighthouse - the guardian light with flashing eyes. Makes it sound almost human. You expressed it very well in just a small number of lines - impressive.

I live on the Maine coast, and there are many lighthouses on this rockbound seaboard. I worked in the commercial; fishing industry for over forty years, so I fully understand the need for these beacons.

I truly have enjoyed reading your poem. It is brilliantly written. Lighthouses are inspiring inventions to guide and protect the wayward ships. Many a piolet and crew have been saved and directed to safety as a result of the light seen from a lighthouse. All the best to you.

Oh yes the lighthouse, and in real life we should tend the warnings of life going on the rocks in the unwise ways we live. It's such a great metaphor also, well done, Barry, blessings Roy

One never hears of NEW lighthouses. Your artwork/poem combo give us a vivid picture of how important lighthouses are to Mariners during raging storms. Good personification of the lighthouse with "flashing eyes." The rhythm of your poem mimics waves crashing. Rod

I really enjoyed reading this poem. I feel like this poem contains a deeper thought and I appreciate that in a poem. I also enjoyed its short length. The poem being short made it a much easier read yet still was able to get the point across and that's powerful.
