I have experienced the potholes in Pennsylvania so I understand where you are coming from. I enjoyed your lyrics, quite humorous and fun. Good luck in the contest.

Believe it or not I sing this with the troubadour group I sing with, it suits my ballad style voice. But you've done a sterling job with rewriting the lyrics to this iconic, beautifully written good luck, blessings Roy

Very clever. Your song is realistic and humorous, and made relevant to your situation and location. I enjoyed your entry. Best wishes.

John Denver was one of the best. He passed away too early in life. Your words that you rewrote are very good. Potholes are what we also have in the spring so we can relate to your written song.

Interesting variation on a great country song, actually my favourite from Denver. You did well keeping the 'take me home, potholed road' just like in the original song, it is much more 'singable' that way. Good luck on the contest

What a cleverly written Re-write a song entry. The text is a great size, and I found myself singing with your text to see if it fit. It for sure did. The visual fits perfectly. I will be surprised if you are not in the top three. Good luck in the contest.

Lol. You took John Denver's nostalgic song and made it a truly a country western song with disillusionment and unemployment as part of the story. I think I could sing the melody most of the time. "Disillusioned mama" could be shortened to fit the "West Virginia." Overall great job and best wishes in the contest!

-Good artwork and presentation.
-I live in NJ, and hear about those potholed roads!
-You did a good job with your rendition of the song.
-The chorus was very good, and I could hear
the music as I read.
-Effective images like "disillusioned mama"
and the line about the "mill worker's lady."
-A good entry; good luck!!!

You are very welcome, Earl. Are you from the Philly area?!
-
No the western side between Pittsburgh and Erie.
-
I didn't know that's where you were from. We're about 40 min. from Philadelphia.

love this satirical take on the classic Take me home country roads. Not having been much in Pennsylvania I can only imagine the conditions of the roads there but I liked this take.
