Not only did you write an inspiring "War-free world" poem/story in nine sentences, you creatively and thoughtfully incorporated it in an Acrostic style to acknowledge April Fool's Day. I appreciate you dedicating your talent to God.

A very interesting take on April fools. I know that many disbelieve or lack faith and I assume you mean the non-believers are the fools. If not, then I've missed the point of your poem. I also can't see the connection between your "nine sentence poetic to God" and the writing prompt "Write about an April fools prank that goes terribly wrong." The poem itself was well done, although poetry is not my forte, and your faith is clear, but I missed the prank reference. I hope you can help me see your theme better. Good luck in the contest. Be well.

Dear Mystery Writer,
I'm sorry to say this, but your piece confused me so much. I read it and re-read it over and over. The contest seems to clearly call for a STORY, but this seems to be a poem (acrostic). Also, the requirements state you are to "Write about an April fools prank that goes terribly wrong."
I understand that in the following portion you speak to the mindset of folks who are so foolish they do not believe in One true and mighty God. And I totally agree. BUT - that is not a prank. It's just a statement of fact (or opinions, some might say.)
"Pull away an April fool today; a wise man may seem to be an April fool."
--> only sounds like it's encouraging folks to GO DO an April Fool's joke on someone. And adding that some wise men can be fools. That is not a story about a specific prank gone wrong.
Needs much editing. Thanks and good luck!

Generally speaking the Bible refers to the man who denies God even exists as the fool in this world, (Psalm 14) as clever as the man may be, this is a darn good turn up for the "clever" but proud man. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

I'm sorry. I found this really confusing. Are you calling God an April Fool's joke? That's totally fine if you are or aren't. I'm just so confused. And you've classified it as humor fiction: is it supposed to be funny?
I liked the second half better than the first. I found the repetition of "war free world" interesting/ironic while the world we live in is so filled with war. If that's what you were getting at, then nice!
Anyway, I would at least adjust the first half to make your intention clear. It might only take a little bit of adjusting depending on what you're going for, but I'm sure you can do. Good luck! Keep writing!

I like this Acrostic prose, a genius invention :). I like nay kind of invention, big and small. Yes. There are not only War-free countries but there are war-torn countries out there. I think God is testing us and want us to appreciate peace more.
Well done.
