A creative an clever acrostic, acrostic. Loved the rainbow colors that gave the reader another dimension in which to read and another thought to ponder.

Well done.

Thank you very much Janet! The addition of the colors was half of the fun : )

I'm sorry you got so few views/reviews initially. 100 member cents? YIKES!
No, abut the poem...
I'd never thought about how restrictive it is, although, yeah.
My favorite line, and the most tragic, is
'Sanctimonious tyrants indoctrinate children against conducting research online.'
With investigation, censorship and the lies of what's happening crumble. Well done.
Also 'inhabiting chaos'... love that line and might borrow it for a contest here. It could create some interesting prose.
Thank you!
Deb

Thank you very much Deb. The reason it costs so much to promote is largely because the user base here has gotten larger, so getting a work up to the front page is more competitive, and some folks are paying out real cash for it which inflates the cost for others. Yeah there were some really fun lines in here that flowed luckily. This one was a lot easier to write and probably more accessible than this shorter one I just finished, thanks to the way the letters lined up! Inhabiting chaos was one of my favorite lines too. You are most welcome to use that line. We need more creative contests here! : )

We need more prose contests, for sure!
And thank you for the explanation of why it's so hard to promote here, as everywhere else, I suppose. lol. I haven't got real cash to invest on the site since I'm doing so much in 'the real world', so I guess I'll be content to do what I can. :)

Thank you for sharing this acrostic poem with the rest of us. It is definitely thought-provoking. To top it off, you managed to write it in the acrostic format, and you did a great job. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure I understand your poem. It seems like two works put together. Your speaking of Putin possibly being gay, which I can see, as he and Trump were close. But the second half feels bitter.

Hi, thanks for your review. I'm not sure what you mean? This piece doesn't have anything to do with Trump, and I wasn't going for a bitter vibe, but rather victory of subversion and creativity over repression. For a more bitter piece, I recommend reading something in my recent political fiction series ; )

Whenever Putin is mentioned, thought of Trump follow. At least for me. Trump has passed Putin and thinks he?s a genius. He aspires to become a dictator like him. That is my opinion. If you had other intentions while writing is, I expressed how I felt after reading it.

I am sure your contribution is sensational; however, I am unable to follow a message there. No disrespect for your talent I'm sure it is massive. However, you exceeded in producing an acrostic.

The picture has great rainbow colors, however the picture of Putin and those men in the background sent a chilling message through my heart and soul. You have a perfect picture for this message.

Thank you for your sharing. It was interesting to read, though I found the colours intriguing. I mean for the obvious reasons and yet not. We start in our lives through programming. It is a very sad precursor to living in this condemned world, not by the animals but the people cause of whatever reasoning which makes no sense. Earth itself is a beautiful entity, the beings that live in it, need some disciplining and retraining.

Thanks for your thoughtful insights, Mickamus. It is hard to imagine what sort of programming people will be receiving another 1000 years from now, if we are still around then : )

Wow, this a fantastic Acrostic. I loved all the colours although it made it harder to read.
Now, nothing, nothing can ever justify what Putin has done. To attack a peaceful, democratic country who were minding their own business, is the ultimate cruel action.
But what can you expect from a KGB monster with eyes like a rat?
Here in Europe we're looking on in horror. Which country is next? Nobody is safe from him.
Good luck, Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla. Fortunately the EU's collective defense ought to be more than enough to deal with Russia for now, as long as things do not go nuclear; Russian military logistics outside of Russia are not the best and their supply convoys are getting beat up by the Ukrainians. But it looks like many Ukrainian cities might be turned to ash before Putin is done.

Hi, I hope and pray you're right. I do agree with you that Ukraine cities will be turned to rubble. And so many lives will be lost. It's all so pointless.

I read your poem out loud, it is a delicious use of words and I like the multi-colored format. "Offering soup to induce confessions" is a wonderful use of vivid words that impacts the reader. This is a creative and unique poem with a message.

Thank you so much for this. That was a fun line to write. Poems are meant to be read aloud!

What the heck, I'll give you a six for creativity. Your 9x in going both horizontal and vertical is fascinating, but would be easier to read on a white background, even after zooming in. Reds on black are the absolute worst for reading. Where do I start? This is indeed clever, but I have to take issue with "altruistic communist rules," and assume you have buried some sarcasm in with the sincerity. Perhaps an alternate word would eliminate that dichotomy. Atheistic would work for me.

Thank you Susan for these excellent observations and suggestions. The dark red/brown wasn't working for me either; it was a lot of hassle trying to come up with an 8th color that was unique enough yet would also show up properly against the black. I think the latest iteration should fix it. On my screen (a OLED, which most mobile devices are probably using now) the colors popped much better on black than white but I will take a look on a different monitor too. Yes, *altruistic* was definitely a sarcastic word. I have changed that line a couple times -- the reason I wouldn't use atheistic is that Russia's present form of communism seems to be closely intertwined with (or at least permitted by) the orthodoxy, from one angle, making it rather distinct from Stalinism. I'm not sure what to make of it though! (Interesting video here)
