What a great flash fiction story Liz. I've watched Antiques Roadshow before, and it's really amazing what some people come into possession of. I've thought about some of the stuff in my house, do we hang on to it and hope whoever inherits it will value it enough to pass it down, or do we sell it and beat them to the punch. A dilemma for sure.

Oh, that would so be my luck. That or it would have been news that I paid too much for it - lol. This is a well written story and easy to follow. It holds your interest even though it is short.

That would be me! I wouldn't be able to enjoy it because I'd drop from a heart attack at the thought of all that money. This is sorta like the old "idiot" jokes. You hate yourself for laughing, but can't help it.

Hahaha! I love Antique Roadshow and I can imagine something that dramatic happening. I've also seen the look of devastation on the face of an owner when the appraiser tells him or her that the piece under consideration is worth three dollars and should be dispatched to a yard sale.
