Thank you, Roy, for sharing this great story in a well-written poem. Your mother must have spent hours on this. I am a knitter and I know that these small items take more patience than a bigger project. I am glad your daughter has it and cherishes it. So much love went into this.

That is a beautiful poem of love, devotion, filled with wonderful Christmas imagery and visuals. It was a true gift to love to give this knitted nativity scene to her beloved children. It was touching how Rebecca preserves the memory of your mother by handling it with such reverence.

It will be a reminder of Christ's birth and the work and skill your mother put into making it. I've never tried knitting and crocheting, but my mother did so I know the effort it takes. This is a lovely story for Christmas time. Excellent rhyme and flow. judi

An excellent poem full on deep meaning. It also has a wonderful reflection on your mother, and when I read your note, it even made more sense. I have enjoyed your work and never made a suggestion. But (dang it there is always a but) I don't like the word smote. Maybe it's just me, think about it. Good job.
