Hello Sal.
This is a touching story of the older couple and the selflessness that is so hard to find in these days of self. We watch Jeopardy every evening and the story touches me.
I know Ralf and will message her. I was not aware of her illness.

Hi dear Sally,
Such a poignant story about dedication and love of this marvelous
elderly couple, such tenderness and caring with all age related
and medical woes, assumed by this adoring and totally attentive
husband for his ailing spouse, brings tear aflowing, hear beaming.
what enables him, from time he rises in the morning till
bed time, is God compelling him to do it, and he prevails!
I love your last endinng sentence, it is perfect! Thanks for
sharing, and note about prayer for Raffaelina, will enjoin in
prayer for her too.
Love, blessings, Ronni

Thank you for the wonderful review and generous stars! Truly, you are a dear soul with such a heart for others. I?m sure your prayers are needed and word of comfort even more so. When I received my blindness diagnosis, people stopped calling. I had slipped into such a deep depression. The power of love pulled me out. Here I am, a new career in writing. When people get a diagnosis they think their lives are over and they stop living.
Contrary to my circumstances, I think these have been some of my best days. I want that for her? I want her to live out every last moment knowing that God is with her and God wants her to write and to be full of peace, joy and love to the last second. That?s what I hope for her and for everyone that I love and care about.
Sending you my very best today, Ronni dear, and love and blessings for always,
Sally XOs

I didn't know Denzel Washington was a believer, he's always in action movies, but he's right, I taught guitar to young folk and told them without a goal they would fail, otherwise it was just activity, two African refugee boys from that time, play on our church platform. One's a pharmacist, the other a corporate success, I'm proud of them, well done Sally, blessings Roy

This is sooo beautiful, Sally! And how amazing is that couple - so thankful and humble before the Lord! And many others with so much more have many complaints.
Thank you for telling us about Ralf. I will send her a message!

I've got goosebumps, Sal. Your prose was extraordinary. I felt I was there, witnessing the love of these two people; a couple who do not take for granted the blessing of each day and having each other.
The placement of your haiku was perfect; perfect as an ending and a reminder we are not alone; God has us.
Your ministry on this site delights me. As a prayer warrior, I will lift Raffaelina up in prayer. Thank you for sharing.

I found the poem Ralf had written about her hospital stay and bad news. I stopped and took time to let her know she was loved and in our prayers. I'm so glad you made that suggestion; it brought me awareness.
Much love to you, Sally; thank you for spreading God's love to all.
