Wow~What a brave albeit scary thing you did, Liz. Yes, you did interfere, but with good cause. I believe since the driver got permission it would have been settled with no charges, but one will never know. I'm glad they were 'understanding.' I believe the weather extreme must have had something to do with the quick change of destination.

hahahaha Good for you. It would have been a silly, foolish day if that bus had passed up all you freezing folks to look for non-existent passengers. I commend this civil disobedience. (But don't tell anyone I said that.)

That is ridiculous. Not what you did, but that it was over an hour and the correct bus had not arrived. Public transportation needs to be reliable. People need it to get to their jobs and appointments. Thank you for sharing.

Good for you!!! That happens too many times here, and all the buses that pass are mostly EMPTY!! I can just imagine the judge looking at seven people sitting in front of him/her wondering what the hell to do with them all! I love this one, and was gobsmacked to read the fine in Hawaii! An insurrection unfolding before our eyes.... You accomplished your goal...but I imagine it was a good thing you weren't living in Hawaii...they might not have been so accomodating. ( The sub zero weather might have played in your favor too.)
