We say duck-egg blue over here, but I love the colour and imagined that wonderful vintage care driving along those country lanes at a slow pace. And all those tasty delights at your Grandparents, I threw myself into this scene and wanted to stay for a while, love Dolly x

Your poem revives memories we all must have of our visits to Gram and Gramp's house when we were young. The Speaker here tells us about Gram's great cooking and how she helped Gramp harvest those ripe apples. A delightful journey down memory lane. Rod

An interesting poetic form. I have done the reverse where prose poetry is followed by haiku. Here distinct lines morph into paragraphs. I noted that the trip was lines of anticipation. Then on waking up at grans suddenly things are smooth and relaxed. The epitome of peace and content.
Language was simple as was the sentiment. The wording flows smoothly.
A very nice read. Keep writing.

I loved the imagery used in this to paint a picture, though I was less impressed with the activity described concerning the 'Wellsummer Roster,' => Since this list of tasks seems to include dalliance with 'different female groups of hens' (are there groups of male hens then?), I think this bird is known by the name of 'Rooster'.
You will be missed in the free verse class.

Hello you old Soul! I trust all is well in Wales... I drop a free verse on rare occasion, so I am bit rusty with the pen as I am with the 'ol body it seems. I will be off the working gig in March and back to doing what I love best. Writing and learning from you. Best wishes are being sent back...Jim

March is a long way off. I wonder whether we will have beaten the Covid bug by then. All the best. Jim
