I don't know how you managed the month of May - prolific and diverse, but I certainly felt the benefit of it. So this is sort of my one six star award to cover your multi-tasking over this period, and I hope I have placed it where you would most appreciate it.

Thank you so much for this review that seems to cover a tad more than this chapter. So thank you for that mention as well. I am pleased you felt the benefit of the month of May. It was quite a challenge and I appreciated your contributions.

Allen is learning a lot from Heather. I'm sure he is hoping to have the German lady mentioned with whom Tom fathered a son. I wonder if this will all come out during this conversation.

We are getting somewhere now. Obviously our friend's mother was one of the 'extra' women that came to the parties. This was a really enlightening part. We learnt a lot about our Tom. I do feel sorry for him, even though I didn't like him at first. Now he's gone and his son has been captured by the British. How will Heather take that when she eventually finds out, which I'm sure she will. I'm wondering how she will answer that last question. I really can't see her hostessing that posh, snooty lot. Another great chapter, my friend. Well done. :) Sandra xx

That last question is loaded. If she did act as hostess, I'm sure it was out of necessity, and not taking part in any of it. Poor woman had a hard time before she married. What a ne'er-do-well her brother was.

Thank you for this six star review. Yet blood is thicker than water. I thought it would be interesting to have her defend her brother just a bit.

If she were forced to be the hostess I would bet she hated every minute of it but I doubt very much she would agree to
hosting Toms friends. She could never fit into that crowd would she? Good question, and it should bring forth the answer Allen is looking for. Nancy:)

Good question, Mr. Allen. Exactly what was Heather's job during all of this horse partying. I am almost positive she wanted no part of this, but was she forced to do it. Maybe some of the women the men brought did. Hmm. interesting.
