I would've turned off too... not my idea of funny.

I figured most would agree that these sort of skits are NOT funny. I posted this at 11:59 p.m., having started writing it at 11:45 as the skit was in process. Thanks for the validation!

That's so true, there's nothing remotely good about murder period, there's simply no way one can "dress it up" to be anything but tasteless, whereas politicians are fair game, I think they know they're going to be judged, it's politics that is dirty, the pollies are no worse than we are, or better than we are...we wouldn't like being made fun of!, well done Liz, blessings Roy

That's so true, there's nothing remotely good about murder period, there's simply no way one can "dress it up" to be anything but tasteless, whereas politicians are fair game, I think they know they're going to be judged, it's politics that is dirty, the pollies are no worse than we are, or better than we are...we wouldn't like being made fun of!, well done Liz, blessings Roy

Totally agree - what could possibly be funny about a murder trial - think of the victims' families! Humour is a very individual thing, but a lot of what Trump did lent itself to humour, both before and during his presidency. Unfortunately there were some serious repercussions to his actions or lack thereof which were just not funny at all.

I have been watching the trial (as I expect most of the world has) if that man gets off, then the police will be given the all-clear to murder black people at will. It was sheer, calculated murder, and those police officers that stood there doing nothing, are as guilty as he is. There is no room for comedy in this trial, and SNL should be shut down. You are right and SNL sometimes has gone too far. They are running out of materials. One of a few good things about Trump is comedians can make fun of him and don't feel ever getting out of line. I didn't watch SNL for years until Trump was running for president and got elected.
